The Simple Women's Toepaz Shoes are evidence that shoes don't have to be environmentally damaging. These slip-ons—part of Simple's Green Toe line—feature hemp uppers, bamboo linings, and recycled car tire outsoles. Hemp grows like a weed without the help of pesticides and produces a strong fiber. Bamboo, plentiful and also fast-growing, makes a soft fabric that has natural odor resistance. We need more car tires in the landfill like Big Oil needs subsidies. So Simple took a few out of the dump, cut them up, and made durable, grippy outsoles. Natural latex pedbeds with organic cotton canvas covers to massage your soles round out the comfy, eco-friendly Toepaz.

I love these shoes. They're unusual enough that everyone notices them. If you want something fun, comfy and different, these are for you. The only problem I see is that the sizing is off. On the recommendation of another website, I ordered a half size up. I normally wear a 9 and got a 9.5. They are BARELY big enough. I think a 10 would be too big though because they're wide enough that a larger size could be too wide. I wear them all the time and love them!! I'd give them a 4.5 on the scale of 1-5, based on the sizing challenge!
