Sigg Lifestyle 1.0L Bottle - Screw Top
Perhaps you're sick of your boring-looking plastic water bottle that makes water taste like yesterday's fruit punch, and sick of worrying about stuff leaching into your water. Grab Sigg's Lifestyle 1.0L Screw Top Bottle. Sigg's non-leaching interior lining combats residue buildup, so flavors won't stay behind even if your Lifestyle 1L Bottle sits out in the sun all afternoon. Sigg extruded this decorative bottle out of a single piece of aluminum, so it's rugged and crack-resistant, although it might ding if dropped (dents don't crack or harm the interior lining).
Bottom Line: Sigg's Lifestyle 1.0L Screw Top Bottle leaves boring, plasticy bottles in the dust.

Great water bottle. Good screw on top & keeps liquids cold or hot for a while. Can even heat water in it.

The Sigg is undoubtedly a leader in the aluminum bottle world, but the 1.0L bottle does suffer from a few design flaws. As mentioned in another review, it does NOT fit in the cup holder in my car and the color on the blue maha that i received was streaky - which looked defective. On the positive side, the water tastes GREAT. However, there is a question of the leaching of aluminum into the water when using the Sigg to tote acidic drinks (juice, lemon etc.) and exposing the bottle to higher temperatures (outdoors, the car - in the sun?). I would like to see more safety testing on these aluminum/coated bottles. One alternative, the Laken brand bottle, does have test results on its website, and touts its own bottle as superior to the Sigg - with no leaching and with a mouth wide enough for ice cubes. They do warn against freezing the bottle or using it for hot liquids.

I purchased this bottle only to find that it was too large to fit into my cupholder of my truck. Furhermore, you cannot fit ice cubes into it because the spout is too narrow. On the other hand, I find it perfect for the office where the large diameter is not an issue. I purchased the 0.6L bottle to solve my problems in the vehicle.
Bottom line: I LOVE the concept of a re-usable bottle that doesn't alter the taste of the water or leach chemicals into it, but I found the 0.6L better suited to where I live my life.

Great size. Can be placed in freezer. I prefer sport top (which you can buy and add to this bottle). Doesn't smell bad like plastic, easy to clean with a standard bottle brush. Rock out!

I love these bottles. With all that press about how even nalgene's leak plastic compounds, I decided to give these a try. True, they don't insulate what they hold, but if you drink as much water as I do, that's not too much a problem :)

The bottle works great, doesn't keep anything cold for long, but never leaks and Ive saved untold amounts of plastic bottles from heading to the landfill!

I like the function of the bottle, the design, and the fact it does not leak. However, I took two brand new bottles on a recent backpacking trip to Ontario and performed a head-to-head comparison (Sigg 1.0L vs. the CamelBak Better Bottle w/ Bite Valve 1.0L) and found the CamelBak still looks new while the Sigg shows incredible surface wear from the inevitable drops onto rocks and use typical to the outdoors. The utility of the bottle is also limited because of the necessity to transfer water from a nalgene or CamelBak bottle to the Sigg bottle when filtering water with an MSR filtration system. Finally, I give the bottle a high rating because I feel that the overall function of the Sigg bottle has not been altered (according to the Sigg website the bottle liner is resilient to dents etc. and will not peel), it looks great, and the must-have factor is still seemingly high, BUT I would not purchase another Sigg bottle for use in the outdoors and my bottle may be relegated to my office.

Granted, this bottle won't fit an ice cube but it does a great job holding some serious BPA-free water. I use it at work and so temperature is less of an issue for me. It does dent if you drop it or happen to hit your co-worker in the noggin with it but the water inside stays tasting exactly as it should...like water. 'Nuff said.

I do enjoy drinking out of this bottle, the flavor is much better than drinking from plastic. The design makes sipping from it easy, compared to bottles with wide mouths. Don't toss your Nalgenes, use them to store dry goods, oatmeal, sugar.....

So I like the bottle. I like not having to worry about BPA. I like hearing a metallic *ching* when I put it down on the table. But...I hate how I can't fit ice cubes (or at least my freezer's ice cubes) through the neck. Thats the only advantage my Nalg has over this bottle.

Got the one with the red skull and it's attractive yet does the job. I dropped it while running and it got a ding in it but hey-it adds character. Environmental friendly and would recommend to everyone.

I love these bottles, as well as the Klean Kanteens. The upside to the Sigg's in my opinion, is the mouth and top. That indentation just below the mouth is where our lip goes, and makes for spill free drinking. This is a pretty small thing, but it actually makes a difference day to day.

This bottle rocks the blocks off other bottles and is as light as a bladder without the worry of leakage.

With all the recent BPA controversy, I tossed my Nalgenes and tried one of these. I am really impressed. The perk is filling it up and putting it in the fridge, it cools down really fast and keeps liquids cooler longer. The same is true if left in the sun too though. Lightweight, no metallic taste whatsoever, and the 1L size is great for a day trip or running errands. No dents yet either.

Bottle is very cool. I bought three.
Shipping was not good...all three bottles were in one box that rolled around, so bottles arrived a little dinged up. I started to ship them back...got sidetracked....used one of them...and never got around to returning.

moved from Nalgene to this. like this a lot because of weight and overall slickness. dents easy but doesn't damage interior so far. a little pricey but so far worth it.

Seems to keep things cooler, longer and water always tastes great. No plastic taste or excess flavor from previous contents.
