Sidi Genius 6.6 Carbon Bike Shoe - Men's

Sidi's top-of-the-line Genius 6.6 Carbon road racing shoe makes no compromises on its path to victory. The full-length, carbon-fiber soleplate varies in thickness to allow just enough give, meaning that while these shoes are ridiculously light and stiff, they won't kill your feet in a brutal mountain stage or cobblestone European alleyway. The adjustable heel retention system locks down on your Achilles for lightning sprints, while the Caliper buckle allows easy, on-the-fly instep adjustments.

Bottom Line: Make a pilgrimage to the Mecca of performance with the Genius 6.6 Carbon Shoe.

These shoes by far are streets ahead of any other cycling shoe. Very well made, as are all things Italian. Great styling, comfort and very adjustable. Main arch strap and ratchet is replaceable and so are many of the other parts, which is great because being main wear and tear items. Overall shoe is in high end price range, but value for money in every aspect. Many of the Pro's wear them for thousands of kilometers, and so will your average joe in style and comfort. Highly recommended, no negatives at all. Purchase and race your heart out.

What's the diff between the 6.6 and the 5.5?

What's the diff between the 6.6 and the 5.5?

Flag

The 5.5 is a carbon composite (cheaper to produce) and the 6.6 is full carbon fiber (a loaded term). They're both equally fantastic shoes, but this is a bitchin' deal on these shoes right now.

These are very well designed, because they really hug your feet like bike shoes should. Most shoes give the one-arm bro hug (tight over the arch with no support in the heel) or the little old lady hug (weak all around). The plastic heel piece keeps your foot from lifting out, and the modified velcro straps are bomber. The ratchet strap is even more awesome: reliable single click micro adjustments and a simple system for adjusting the padding position. My only gripes: the white ones are only attractive to fish, the heel rubber is weakly attached, and the price is about $100 more than I think they're worth. That's probably due to the bad exchange rate though, and there's little you can do about it.

Spend the money. They will last 2-3 times as long as the ones made in China and your feet will be more comfortable the whole time. You are paying less more more. The only thing to keep in mind is the insole really is just a throw away, you will probably have to buy a nice insert especially if you need any arch support. Overall it is the best shoe. Light, comfortable and durable. Also, many replaceable parts...

Sidi Genius 6.6 Carbon Bike Shoe

This Bike shoe is the real deal. It is the same as the ergo 2 without the fancy middle buckle. I was afraid of that middle buckle breaking so I went with the Genius 6.6. I wear a size 9 US shoe/ 42 and 2/3 Euro Salomon trail running shoe and the Sidi's (size 43) have a comparable fit, leaving just enough room for my toes without scrunching them while still giving me a performance fit.
