Sidi Ergo 2 Bike Shoe - Men's

Pack leaders, pro road racers and insanely dedicated amateur cyclists share a shoe—the Sidi Men's Ergo 2. With teched-out features that read like a space mission checklist and Sidi's impeccable reputation for handmade Italian quality, the carbon-soled Ergo 2 sits level with full-custom racing shoe performance. Lorica synthetic microfiber and mesh uppers cradle your feet on endless distance rides, while three different heel, instep and forefoot buckle systems lock down to transfer pedal power like you never imagined was possible.

Bottom Line: The Sidi Ergo 2 will have you wallpapering your house with yellow jerseys.

Super shoes

I am a little chagrined to admit that I have these and the 6.6 (long story), both are terrific shoes but I prefer this shoe by a cat's whisker. I really like the extra snug fit you can get with the twist type buckle - you can really micro adjust these, and do it well pretty safely on the fly. I have heard people shy away from this shoe because they are afraid it will break - no issues after about 1000 miles and no sign of wear. I always went for a cheaper, more flexible shoe before a serious biker friend of mine talked me into the High end Sidi. I thought the super stiff sole would be uncomfortable, but that is simply not the case. It feels like a custom fit shoe, and I have had no comfort issues, even on long rides. As with most high end bike shoes and ski boots, you will need to replace the wafer thin insole that comes with the shoe. They provide no support whatsoever. I actually use my Surefoot insole with these shoes. If this is in your budget, give this shoe a try, you are unlikely to be disappointed.

These shoes are so amazing I had to call in about them. I just spoke with the backcountry.com customer service people. It looks like there will be more sizes coming in soon. More are on order from Sidi!

Killer Sidi's!

These shoes definitely fall right in line with the years and years that Sidi has made cycling shoes. I absolutely love them when I had a contract with them in Italy but switched because back then they were super soft in the soles and I needed a very solid sole. They have obviously fixed that problem and other than that they were always amazingly comfortable. Are they worth the dough?.....For coolness absolutely! Put the color aside and note this about Sidi: they are one of the only companies on the planet that allows their top riders, ie. Bettini, Bartoli Museeuw etc, to have a mold made of their foot and the entire shoe is built around that mold. I actually got hooked up with Sidi through M. Bartoli and he couldn't say enough about them. All in all Sidi makes top notch gear and these are more of that same quality from a great company! As a thought, try some of the Castelli shoe covers to keep them looking as pimp as they do the day you buy them.

If they are good enough for Palo Bettini then they are good enough for me! I love the bling factor & the fact that every rider strains their neck to check these out!
