I have Deore XT components does it matter that these are for XTR? Just need to replace the front shifter cable?

This set is for housing, cables, and all that magic jazz. Go talk to your local bike shop and pickup a cable there. They should cost ~$3, and sometimes they're even nice enough to throw it on for you.
