686 Smarty Complete 2.5 Ply Pant - Men's

The waterproof breathable 686 Men's Smarty Complete 2.5-Ply Pants come with thermal bottoms and fleece liner pants, so your legs stay comfortable in all conditions this winter. Wear the complete set on the mountain when the weather is wild, and ditch a layer when the sun comes out. The track pants have you covered when you hop the fence to poach a soak in the hot tub. The thermals double as PJs when you sack out on your friend's couch and his girlfriend requests you not walk around naked. These loose-fitting 686 pant shells have many pockets to hold your ID, safety-meeting materials, and snacks.

Bottom Line: Everything you need to keep your legs warm on the ski hill—and a few other places too—this winter.

Not as good as Smarty Command Pants

By:
March 13, 2009

Sure they're 20K rated but that doesn't matter much when they rip. The thermal bottoms ripped at the waistband after the first time I wore them. The pants themselves also ripped the first time I wore them. I traded in my Smarty Command Pants when these went on sale because I thought they would be higher quality. I was wrong. I love 686 and I find their stuff to be super functional and they fit great, especially if you have a big waistline or like to you rock the baggy look. All in all if you are thinking of buying these, don't. Get the smarty command pants, they cost less, they have more pockets, they are totally waterproof enough for almost any condition, and most importantly, they are way more durable.

Awesome Pants

By:
November 7, 2008

Unfortunately for me, I own these pants in black .. and I love wearing bright bright colors when I ride. However, on very cold days or deep powder days these are the pants I take out with me. These pants keep me dry and toasty on the inside, fit nice without getting in the way of my riding and even strap into my 686 smarty jacket. In short, these are the pants i bring out for serious riding and I highly recommend them. Looks like you can even snag them in red now which means I might have to pick up a second pair.

High quality all around

These pants use top-notch materials for all three layers. Great for any conditions possible with the versatility of layering. I've owned other 686 products and have never been let down once. These are also the only pants I've ever had with vents that don't snag. Awesome price right now as well.
