686 Smarty Maven Jacket - Women's

From sunny days to stormy days, the 686 Women's Smarty Maven Jacket's water-resistant shell and zip-out liner has you covered. Pinstriped Westech 15K –rated water resistant shell and a removable belt keep the snow out, while the striped fleece liner adds warmth on frigid days. An internal iPod pocket, left radio sleeve pocket, and goggle pocket keep all your stuff organized and under control, so you can leave the pack in the car. When you take a digger, check to see if there's any snow still wedged in your helmet vents with the hidden Stash Vanity Mirror on the right cuff. On warmer days, zip off the Maven Jacket's hood and liner and leave them in the car for a sleek, low-profile look. As an extra bonus, 686 included a custom beanie in this three-in-one jacket's right handwarmer pocket.

Bottom Line: Receive twice the warmth and versatility with the 686 Smarty Maven Jacket.

Best Jacket Ever! (With a Few Exceptions)

The 686 Smarty Maven Jacket is awesome. I got the one in gray and I look wicked in it. I love the school-girl type plaid that the gray version comes in, and the overall jacket design is really really cool. The inner lining is really cool looking too. I love that it has a bunch of pockets everywhere, clips on the snow skirt that attach to your pants -- the jacket even has a mirror pocket on the right sleeve. Overall, I've stayed super dry wearing this jacket. This jacket could easily be my #1 favorite jacket EVER with the following exceptions: 1) The lining in my right sleeve came defective. The seams were coming apart when I received the jacket in the mail. I have to look into the warranty on it. 2) The outer jacket material is really rough and scratchy. Most boarding/skiing jackets have that rubbery/shininess to it that you'd except of any jacket... But the Smarty Maven looks like the texture of wool but feels even rougher, like a brillo pad if it touches your face. Oh well. 3) The medium I bought is slightly larger than normal medium sizes. It sorta makes my belly look poofy. Oh well. Other than all that... I still think this is the coolest looking jacket I own! I get tons of compliments on it. Can't wait to sport it around again next season.

Compliment Heaven

Awesome jacket for boarding, a lot of stash pockets and I've gotten so many compliments on the plaid pattern! It's nice and durable, and the grey turns a bit greeny in the sunshine and looks great.

really cute!

This is really cute. It is a bit heavier than a typical snowboard jacket. The material is more durable feeling as well. I tried a couple different mediums in 686 coats for this season and they all seem to run baggy. I never really wear small jacket, but I could go small in this for a more fitted style. It really depends on your style and what kind of fit you like though. This is really comfortable and WARM!
