Scarpa T2 Telemark Ski Boot

The refined Torsion Frame in the Scarpa Men’s T2 Telemark Boot extends through the toe for maximum later stability, while the plush Intuition Performance Tour lining brings orthotic-like comfort. The frame and asymmetrical overlap cuff allow for power and control when the fluff gives way to heavy gnar. The triple-injection foot cuff eliminates foot slop, and aluminum buckles trim weight. Scarpa also added a replaceable scuff guard in front of the lower buckle to increase durability and disperse forefoot buckle pressure. Those Italians think of everything.

Bottom Line: Lateral stability with tele flex.

Hello, I have the following questions: (i) What is the difference between a Scarpa T2 and a Scarpa T2X and (ii) I am a US size 81/2, what is the conversion? Please advise. Thanks.

Tim,
The T2 is an older model if its dark blue, The T2X has been around now for about 4 years and is red. The conversion for a Men's 8.5 is 25.5 mondo.

My T2 boots are 3 years old, I'm wondering if the thermo liners can be re-molded a second time, and if so how the performance might be affected?

Boots can generally be molded three times. The re-molding of liners will make them a little thinner or more "packed out." If your boots are uncomfortable I would suggest trying to remold and not worry about packing them out.

Scarpa boots come with Intuition liners which have the overlap design. No lace up. It seems strange at first, but they are very comfortable. There is no TR-2 boot. You have the T-Race, T1 and T2X. The T2X is a great Backcountry boot. Very light and comfortable to walk in.
