Salomon Idol Origins Ski Boot - Women's
The Salomon Women's Idol Origins Ski Boot is designed specifically for women's feet—specifically, for hardcore, expert women's feet. Salomon's Second Skin shell is thinner than most boots, which improves comfort and feel. However, the thin shell doesn't mean this boot isn't burly. An Energyzer (a plastic reinforcement frame) around your heel, along with the shell's multi-layer, multi-material construction transfers every bit of your energy to the edge. A heat moldable Custom Fit liner makes the Idol Origins Ski Boot fit like a glove, while four micro-adjustable buckles help you fine tune the pressure on your foot. The Idol Origin’s built-in neoprene toe box defends your toes from cold conditions, and the boot’s medium-stiff flex and 100mm last is ideal for athletic ladies who seek out a variety of terrain.
Bottom Line: Supportive and warm. Much like a good boyfriend, but easier to come by.

Actually, I have a question about my old Salomon boots ...they were Evolution 9.1 and I bought them in 1995 to heli ski. I loved these boots they were some of the original built for women boots and the fit was awesome. I usually ski 1 week out of the year since I now live in the south. On Feb 14,2009 I was skiing at Snowshoe down Cupp Run after just completing Shay a double black diamond and I had no falls and about 1/3 of the way down the run, it felt like I caught an edge and just sat down. To my shock, the entire sole of the boot remained in the binding and the upper was separated. The inner boot support was on the slope, The entire boot then split over the top of the foot. I have usually skied the edges and cruise at good speeds and this really was unsettling that my boot "blew up" for such a minor turn. What happened? What boot would be similar since I am not sure I really want to rent boots? I do not believe that I have trated these boots badly...I have never seen this.
