Salomon XA Pro 3D Ultra GTX Trail Running Shoe - Women's

The Salomon Women's XA Pro 3D Ultra Trail Running Shoe excels at multisport adventure races and extended trail runs where comfort and durability are key. The Gore-Tex XCR seam-sealed inner booties let your feet breathe while keeping your feet protected from moisture and trail debris. Ortholite insoles and a triple-density EVA midsole cushion your feet, while the 3D Advanced Chassis keeps you stable on uneven terrain. The protective toe and heel caps reduce abrasion and add durability.

Bottom Line: A tough shoe for tough women.

Great shoe

Haven't used these as they were intended (wet, trail conditions), but after wearing them out and about, I can tell they'll be great. You can't beat having Gortex, and I like the quick-laces. Prior to these shoes, I had Vasque trail runners which functioned well on the trail but weren't as "strudy" as these feel, if you plan to use them as light hikers. My only complaint is that the laces are too long and that the heel is a bit loose...we'll see how that works on the trail. I chose a 1/2 down from what I wear in Asics running shoes.

I need a wider toe box with a narrower heel. I find that Brooks and New Balance are too boxy. Are these shoes better for my type of feet?

I think this would be a great choice. I have a narrow heel and prefer a wider toe box and the salomon's I've used have completely fit the bill.
Hope that helps.

Functional & Hip

By:

I really like all the features of this shoe. As far as running goes, they don't actually provide as much ankle support because of the lacing system (which is easy for getting them on and off). They are comfortable to walk and hike in and they're waterproof, which is great.

Ultra Pro Running Shoe

Another great running shoe from Salomon. Ultra light but ultra durable, these shoes can withstand a lot of rough terrain and varying ground but don't weigh you down. They are sturdy enough for peak climbing yet agile enough for fast up and downhill trail running. Great breathability and extremely comfortable with great foot and arch support.

Perfect!

These shoes are probably the best running shoes I ever had. They fits me perfectly, they protect my feet in every terrain and in bad weather conditions. I can just recommend them.

I would say, in case you run on muddy, wet or slippery trails, these shoes are the perfect ones for you. They keep your foot stable and protected and they are very comfortable.

Bomb-proof shoes!

By:

These shoes are awesome! They seem bomb-proof, but without too much weight. They survived all sorts of wet, slippery terrain on the trails in Alaska. I would definately recommend them!
