Salomon F22 Snowboard Boot - Men's

Love these boots, it says its suited for riders with narrower feet, but i consider my foot to be wide so it worked out for me. This boot is the perfect blend of comfort and luxury and performance. The liner is plush and comfortable and the plastic heel slide is brilliant. The boot is very light and the decreased footprint makes walking very easy. The lacing system is also very easy and is better than boa, you don't have to turn the dial until it finally tightens up. Bought mine between the 180-190 dollars and that is a steal, salomon really outdid themselves this year with this performance rich boot that also has a very nice design. This boots reduced footprint also allows people with bigger feet, like myself, to keep clear of those annoying risers. Thank God i bought this rather than the DC Judge

Been looking for the right balance of support and flexibility, these are just right. They are really light and the fit is probably the most comfortable i've had (15+ yrs of riding). Definitely made for a slightly narrower foot though. If you're foot is on the wide side, make sure to get a pair on for a little bit before buying.

I have never been more impressed with a snowboard boot. These are very well built, have a short break-in period and were comfortable even while they were breaking in, the heel hold is incredible--these are the only boots on the market (besides the F20+F24) that are able to hold down my narrow ankle and heel. The flex is great for all-around riding, not soft but not too stiff. I wear a size 10 and these fit perfectly into my Rome S/M bindings. The F22's don't pack out as much as other boots, just keep that in mind when trying them on. The lacing system is a breeze...I could go on and on about these boots, they are great and are the most comfortable boot I've ever tried on. I ride these everywhere from the park to cliffs and chutes to race courses, and don't ever plan on riding with any other boot.

I´m in love, these boots are awesome. Bought them for their build more than their footprint reducing frame, as Saly has a very good rep for making quality boots. Their snug fit and durable construction ensures I have comfortable days on the mountain, and they interface with my Rome bindings very well. Huge props to this site for helping me out when I bought half a size too small initially.

for perspective's sake, i have been wearing a pair of Salomon synapse for the past 4 seasons and was looking for to get the same quick break-in and solid overall boot from the F22, plus the added goodness of the fusion series. using these with the Burton cartels on a 164 never summer legacy. well... so far so good... i'm not sure all the hype around the fusion boots is completely legit but nonetheless these are very solid boots. the break-in has been a bit more painful and longer than it was with the synapse but i'm sure these boots are stiffer than the synapse was 4-5 seasons back. that said, they seem to pretty much broken in now with 5 days riding... damn good compared to what some buddies have suffered through with other brands. in the freshies these boots have taken some getting used to simply due to being stiffer than what i was used to... but now that i'm getting used to them they are great. you can let the boots power through the deeps and i have noticed much less rear leg fatigue due to their support.... huge plus in my book. there are a few long traverses into and out of the backcountry at my home mtn and i've noticed them being easier to deal with wearing these boots compared to my older ones... painful to do while breaking them in but the added stiffness is great, especially on long heelside traverses. on the groomers these things are silly... you certainly feel the support helping you out when leaning into big carves with lots of speed. not really what i seek out while riding but i think it gives a good indication of the boots performance. can't tell ya how the are in the park cause i'm over jibbonkin boxes and rails... but them seem just fine on the booters i've hit. again, the stiffness takes a little getting used to on your take-off (stiffer making it a little trickier to make sure you are on your edge correctly) but the landings are easier to stomp. getting them on is a breeze and off isn't bad but you seem to have to actually yank the laces out of the lace locks with bare hands rather than popping them out with the handle/pull. you can make them ridiculously tight with Salomon's system... i mistakenly made them so tight the first run out that i could barely feel my feet by the top of the lift (used to cranking the holy hell out of the old synapses)... so now i know i don't have to tighten the hell out of em in order to get a nice snug, supportive fit. i think this is great b/c, as they inevitably get blown out over the next few years, i know there is plenty more play in the boot to tighten and keep them fitting right... ie- it will take more time (years) to blow them out and not be able to tighten them enough to avoid a sloppy fit. my only beef on the fit is that when tightening the outer boot (they have both an inner and outer tightening system) the system allows you to tighten the "foot" section, lock the laces, then tighten the "lower leg section" separately. sounds great, but regardless of how hard you pull while tightening the lower "foot" section, you cant get the bottom couple laces to get tight... resulting in a sloppy fit on the foot, this is while using the handle/pull on the laces to do it. i can get em tight myself with the ol' tighten by hand, stick the finger on the lace to hold it in place, then pull the next section and so on. which is why i now have some nice calluses on the outside of each pinky finger... not a huge thing but kind of a bummer. it is still possible to get the "foot" area tight its just a pain in the ass. solid all around boot that i would recommend to folks that like to ride the steeps and trees but might be a bit stiff for the jib-bonkers out there, although they may break-in just fine for that as well given time. Salomon just needs to tweak the lace system so you can crank the lower foot tight using the handle/pull on the laces rather than bare hands.

these are pretty much the best boots i have ever owned. IF you have ever played basketball i would compare these to the air jordans. Went on my first ride in over a year and wore the boots for the first time. my feet felt great after the whole day of riding. I was amped. l love these boots, definitely worth the price
