Salomon XA Pro 3D XCR Trail Running Shoe - Women's
The Salomon Women's XA Pro 3D XCR Trail Running Shoe gives you a killer combination of agility and stability for fast trail runs, then adds a Gore-Tex XCR membrane for increased weather protection. Salomon paired the 3D Advanced Chassis system (a plastic shank under the insole that controls twisting) with close-to-the-ground construction for stability. The system helps the XA Pro 3D XCR Trail Running Shoe stabilize your feet over uneven terrain, without losing energy from your stride. Built for moving quickly in less than ideal conditions, this Salomon trail runner is constructed using tough durable materials that'll take the beating of muddy runs and springtime slush. With Salomon's Quicklace system, a simple tug on the drawcord produces a snug, custom fit.
Bottom Line:
The Salomon Pro 3D XCR Trail Running Shoe—because you don't stop running when the sun disappears.

These shoes are by far the most comfortable I've owned. They replaced a set of New Balance and really out perform any other shoe I've used. The laces are really easy to use and tuck down nicely (don't stand straight up like quick laces in other brands). Great shoes for every use!

These shoes have great support and are easy to get on and off. My only complaint is that I got a huge blister from running with them the first time because my socks were too low. As long as your socks are high enough to completely cover your heel, you will not regret purchasing these shoes! I normally wear a 6.5 or 7 shoe size, and the 6.5 fits me perfect.

The no-tie lace system is amazing, and they are really comfortable, except I wouldn't recommend wearing too low of socks. The heal tends to rub on the Gortex model.

These are my favorite all-around shoes. I slip them on when my dog wakes me at 3 am to go potty, they have been awesome for running, hiking, even at the gym. Perfect fit, they even do okay if they get a little wet. And they dry easy when it's more than a little! And they do look awesome (I have the red ones).

I have owned three pairs of these shoes.I absolutely love these shoes. I do have one complaint though. . . the material has torn at the flex point on every pair I have owned. Because of this I don't think I will spend the extra money to get the GTX ones next time.

I have worn orthopedic inserts for 20yrs. I don't need them in these Salomons!!! Most comfy, all around best trail runners EVER. I don't run in them, I fly in them. I have the grass green ones, hard to find, have gotten so many comments on them (good ones!) and I wear them every single day. Don't hesitate, worth every penny. Oh, and they wash up perfectly too!!

Before I bought the XCR version I had been running with the non-waterproof model for a couple of years. Both shoes are extremely lightweight and responsive to the trail. They do not provide too much support (at least for me they feel almost neutral) so I insert the green Superfeet for added arch support. In earlier XCR models I had some issues with the Gore-Tex lining of the shoe, the seams around the tongue just bothered me. That's gone with the current model. Overall, I am very happy with the XA Pro 3D!

Heal slippage for me and the box toe takes a little getting used to

I've had the XA Pro 3D for about a year and love it. That pair took me from the valley to Half Dome and back in a handful of hours without blisters. So, when it got a little cold and wet, I decided to get the XCR version. First off, it was brand new, so I felt the added stiffness in the sole and the rest of the shoe. The added weight is negligible. I went for a 1/2 hour slog over some snow and was pleased that my feet were dry and toasty. My buddy, on the other hand, had popsicles for feet. On cold days, I also noticed that the Goretex membrane blocks wind. I'll definitely stick with the Salomons. These shoes are comfy, perform very well and fit my wide toe box feet.

This is my first pair of Gore-tex shoes and I would highly recommend them. Running in 90 degree heat and 90% percent humidity my feet were comfortable and dry. They do seem to run a little big, I normally wear a 6 and could have gone down to a 5 1/2 in these shoes.

While initially these felt a little more soft & squishy than I'm used to, the benefit became apparent when running downhill... my knees don't hurt!
As for sizing, another review said to go down a size. I found them to be very true to size. I wear between a women's 7 & 7.5 and went for the 7.5. Very happy with the fit. Added benefit is a decent sized toe box. Thank you!

I got these shoes for muddy spring & fall trail running in upstate NY and love them. I'm on my third pair and I hope Salomon never stops making them. Breathability is not a strength, so I don't recommend them for warm weather. Arch support is fair to moderate, but the snug fit & lacing system help to compensate.

When I brought the package into the house, I thought they sent an empty box, they're that lightweight! Still feel sturdy and substantial tho, VERY comfy too! The best part is that they really are waterproof. We've had lots of snow this year and they keep my feet dry through slush, snow, muck, puddles and wet foliage. Lots of compliments on the look too...I LOVE them!

Be forewarned that the rubber toe is actually quite large. Once I got out on the trail, however, I appreciated the extra protection it provides very much. Water beads up on the shoe beautifully and it's been quite breathable for my feet on long runs. I'm just a few runs in, but so far they've been great. Lightweight!

I bought these for my mom a month ago. She has loved them. Here is what she had to say:
I have had trouble with my feet for years and so it has been difficult finding shoes that are comfortable and functional at the same time. These hiking boots not only met my requirements, they went beyond. They are extremely lightweight and easy on my feet. I used to have plantar fasciitis and have special inserts for my shoes, but I didn’t have to use them with these Salomons—they were comfortable and supportive without. The 3D XCR shoes hold tight on wet trails, are firm and steady on steep hikes, and they feel healthy on fast walks. I like the looks of these little lipstick boots, and the lacing system—while tricky at first—proved to be surprisingly clever and easy-to-use… even tucks into its own “garage.”
I highly recommend this product… I would repeat this order. They were a great value and a huge success for me.

Great shoe! Exactly as advertised. Comfortable and waterproof as promised. I ordered a 1/2 size smaller then usual and they fit fine. I am very happy with the purchase!

I've been a Salomon wearer for years &the bigger toe cap on these really helps- I think the newer design are also a little roomier & the support is even better - the Fore-Tex is the best -I stood in wet sand all day at a horse show & my feet were dry!

These shoes were extremely comfortable on my first 8-mile run. I would recommend these to anyone. I was surprised at how light they felt for being Gortex-lined as well.

This is the perfect trail running shoe. They can handle whatever nature throws at you, rocks, mud, uneven terrain. The rubber toe is genius. It is easy to clean the mud off and they offer extra protection. I love how easy it is to adjust the laces.

I am very happy with these shoes. The terrain in NJ this time of year is ever changing: grassy, muddy, snowy, slick, crunchy, you name it and I found these to be very stable in all conditions. I also got home to completely dry socks. The only problem I had was with the interior contour. There is a lump just below the toes that was causing a bit of toe numbness, especially when on-road, but it abated as I wore them in.
