They don't work

By:
December 9, 2008

I just bought and returned these boots for my dog within 24 hours. We sized her for a medium, but she ended up swimming in the boots, so we went for a small. At the Duffy Lake trailhead we put them on, and within 30 seconds she had them off, buried in the snow. We decided not to go any smaller in size, since she was already in a small size. Returned immediately. I agree with arthur, impossible to keep on the dog

Hard to keep on

These are tuff boots and they last a long time. BUT after 10 or 20 miles they tend to fall off.

Definitely worth a try

We just dropped a size from an extra larger to a large for our golden retriever. He'd lost one of the XL's while we were mountain biking. Yes, you definitely have to make sure the boot is on snug but he wore the XL's for full season before losing one. He even wore his last pair swimming several times. Before getting the booties, he would come home with cut up feet after a mountainbike ride, now his feet are fine- just put them on tight!!

Jaeger Likes Them!

By:

We bought these after trying several others and after a camping trip where long hikes made for sore paws. Ouch! These are definitely paw savers. They are easier to keep on with the socks, and you have to adjust them after 5 min or so, then they stay on no problem.

Great for long hikes or snowy conditions

By:

We have a 3 legged yellow lab so we do everything we can to protect his feet. We had to try a couple different sizes but once we got the right ones they worked great. At first the dog is going to walk/run a little goofy because of something being on their feet not because they are too tight. Let them break the shoes in and get used to them, after 15 minutes retighten the straps and there shouldnt be a problem.

Great Doggy boots

By:

Haven't had a problem with falling off if you follow the directions and tighten them up after the first 5-10 minutes of wearing they stay on.The Socks help a lot. They are a little tough to get on at first but about like putting shoes on a toddler. They seem to be holding up will great in the snow as well as the desert.

Can't keep 'em on

By:

Like the other reviewers say, basically it's tough to keep these boots on the dogs feet. I tightened as much as I could w/o hurting my dog and they still came off within 5-10 minutes. I returned them.
