Red Skycap II Helmet

Red Skycap II Helmet
The RED Skycap II Helmet's adjustable vents let you regulate temperature to keep from sweating or freezing while you rip. During the storm cycle, slide the Skycap II Helmet's vents closed and slash as many pow turns as possible. RED gave Skycap II a removable goggle gasket to keep you warm and eliminate gaper gap. When the sun comes out and the powder gets tracked, open the vents, remove this RED helmet's ear pads, and spend a few hours hiking the pipe. Should an inverted air turn into an inverted landing, the RED Skycap II's In-Molded polycarbonate and closed cell liner soaks up the impact, so your brain doesn't have to.**DISCONTINUED**
Bottom Line: Comfortable and protected in all conditions.

This is my first helmet that i've ever owned and I love it. When I first put it on I didn't think it would keep my head warm but to my surprise it did a great job at warming my head. And yet it doesn't get too hot on warm days. It actually doesn't make sense to me because no matter what the temperature this helmet is never too hot or too cold. It is really comfortable and it feels SO GOOD when you smack your head and your laying on the ground thinking "MAN it was a smart idea to wear a helmet".
Great Helmet

I used my helmet for the first time this week in Germany on the alps and it was absolutely amazing. I have never worn a helmet before and I've been snowboarding for 19 years, and I am really impressed. This helmet is light and comfortable, and it is easy to regulate the temperature of your head with the moving vents. And for the first time in 19 years I had a collision on the slope with a skier, and as her ski pole smacked me accross my mouth, spliting my lip in 5 different places, my head bounced of the hard packed snow and I didn't feel a thing.

Does this fit like the original Skycap? Picked up a gray on from a rental shop and wanted to get another one too. Hard for me to find ones that dont look odd.

Seems a pretty good helmet. Only drawback is that the ear pads are fiddly to put on and take off.

Its comfortable, looks sick, and protects you well too. I can honestly say it has saved my life before. Even today, i slammed my head off the ground off of a bad jump in the park. Its just a great helmet
