Ride SPI Snowboard Binding

For instant response on any terrain, strap into the Ride SPI Snowboard Bindings. These bindings achieve ESP-like responsiveness. The SPI is fully customizable, from the adjustable heel cup to the tool-less center adjust straps, so you get a dialed fit. Rock the toe strap over the top or cap style. Ride molded the SPI's PowerFlex Highback and R2 Chassis to work with your stance. The Highback utilizes medial lean, medial twist, and an asymmetrical flex pattern. Translation—the binding flexes and lends support right where you need it. Combine this with powerful Revolver ratchets, a toe ramp, and shock-absorbing landing pads, and you have one of the most tricked-out bindings on the market.

Bottom Line: Choose the Ride SPI Snowboard Bindings for all-terrain versatility and responsiveness.

Versatile Bindings

These are great bindings! Really solid and stiff for fast response edge to edge. Ride has always built a durable binding and the SPI's definitely live up to this. Also, they are very easy to adjust on the fly. My only minor complaint is the ratchet system. It tends to get hung up every once in a while, when trying to unstrap.

Responsive, Not For Beginners

These bindings are very, very solid and highly adjustable. The aluminum baseplate lets you run these binders on all snowboards and gives you the freedom of shifting the binding around once the bolts are in place. The straps are wide and comfortable, though the ankle strap is quite stiff. In fact, the whole binding is very stiff once you've got everything locked down. That said, it's VERY responsive. These bindings chew through soft boots. If you're looking for a purpose-built freestyle/park binding, these are not it. They're perfect for trees, high speeds, pow, steeps, big jumps, cliffs, etc. I don't recommend them for beginners.

Greatest Bindings EVER

I don't think I'll ever buy a different brand/model binding again. I've ridden Burton Synchros, Missions and Cartels, and also Flow Amp5's and FSI Pro's and none of them stand up to the Ride SPI. The all-aluminum base and everything is just solid and the ratchet system is better than anything out there. These things are so responsive and for the first time ever I feel a real 'oneness' with the board, no barriers between my feet and the board...like an extension of myself. I read another review that mentioned the ratchets can mangle your mittens, which is true. The release on the toes is kinda sharp on the edges...so be careful! But anyway to sum it all up if you're reading this and considering buying these, I say go for it...you'll probably never want any other binding if you do.

I Like the looks of the SPI.I really like my bindings really tight, the plastic straps striped at ratchet area within the second trip. I am replaceing them with Burtons now!!

solid bindings

The Ride SPI bindings provide plenty of support all around, while also offering comfort on the top of the foot due to the beefed up top straps. The aluminum baseplate won't budge no matter how hard you torque it, and the adjustability is really valuable when you are at the top of the lift with no tools in sight. I prefer to use the to strap as a toe cap, but it it's convertible for the old schoolers. I tried the Medium size and I wear a 9, and it was just on the verge of being too small, my foot was sticking in the baseplate after I was unstrapped, so you may want to size up to a Large for feet between 8.5 and 11. Over-all, great binding for riding hard!

these bindings are bomber. mine are on a Ride Yukon 164.I use Burton driver X boots.I'm 225 pounds and I ride Jackson Hole and Grand Targhee @ break-neck speed. all three work together perfectly to hold my big ass up when i'm on an edge.

These things are super comfy. I don't have to crank them down to get great response, great edge-to-edge control with these bindings. Really easy to get in and out. I was concerned the straps wouldn't release nicely but they work fine. Metal icing up? Not a problem. The pads on the bottom of the SPIs really make landings nice and soft. I didn't believe it till I landed my first jump on them. Simply put. My feet don't hurt.

SP1's are Rock Solid

I just got back from a weeklong trip to Whistler where we got dumped on (55+ inches during the trip). I brought a backup pair of bindings in case these didn't fill the bill, but they were just dead weight in the suitcase Pro's: Great looks and style, I got the black and red, but they look and act bulletproof. Adjustability out the wazoo Comfortable straps, metal ratchets and gears Stiff as hell Con's: Stiff as hell Strange binding release mechanism on the upper strap was tough to release consistently. Not a problem on the toe strap Convertible to strap to toe cap strap didn't seem to stay in place on the toe cap. Thats ok because it was really comfy over the top of my foot traditional style. The ratchets ate my mittens, something about clearances but I quickly learned to tighten with my thumb Overall they are a fairly pricey premium binding and are worth every penny unless you are looking for a dedicated binding with toe cap straps

Great Pick...

I just picked these bindings up at the beginning of the season and won't be turning back. Really like the new toe-strap design and the bindings are super customizable and comfy. If you are looking to put some bindings on your board that will help you own the mountain, the SPI are the right pick. Happy slashing.

ATV Binding

By: JamesR. (69)
September 4, 2007

The binding that does everything and goes wherever you want it to. The binding is very versatile. It's fun to carve up a storm on the trail, dip into some waist-deep powder in the trees and press nose slides on a C-box. These ATV bindings are responsive and comfortable. The ankle and toe straps are so nice once you get them centered on your boots. The toe strap is convertible, so you can use it as a traditional strap or a toecap depending on your preference. I've actually found it much more comfortable than Burton's toe caps, as it is stretchy and stays in place. This binding is perfect for anyone who wants response and comfort from their bindings no matter what terrain they may be on.

It is back!

The SPI returns from Ride this year, and that is good news for all of you! This is a super responsive, well constructed aluminum base binding. This binging with its convertible toe strap, and lightening this binding just a bit, this binding is an all mountain dominator! Get these fast before they are gone! Don't be the one saying "would of, should of, could of!" The season lasts only so long!
