Overall Excellent

Changing color lenses is a little inconvenient but its a great light overall. e.g. You have to remove the red to put in the blue rather than just push a different lever or rotate a wheel or smething.

What kind of battery life can be expedted from this light on the low battery setting compared to the high setting.

The Tech Specs say max burn time is 120 hours. Max usually means they have it on the lowest setting to get the longest time. The "boost" setting only lasts for 20 seconds, so if you continuously use the "boost" I am sure the battery life would be significantly shorter.

What color lens will work the best to follow a blood trail at night?

That is a really creepy question. Probably the blue, the blood won't reflect any blue light and it'll be very dark black. On the flip side, red might make it much brighter than its surroundings. Luckily, you get both, so you can experiment. On deer or something, I hope.

Works Great

This is the second one of these I have owned and it works perfect for my needs. Late nights at the crag are usually a little easier with some light. I also enjoy night climbing and this provides exactly what i need and is also quite comfortable on longer climbs. Works great at the campsite and in the tent or walking the dogs at night.
