Petzl Calidris Harness - Men's
Petzl Calidris Harness - Men's
As the most-padded and comfortable harness in Petzl's line, the Calidris works well for long multi-pitch trad and aid lines. Sliding DoubleBack buckles on the waist and legs can be adjusted easily to accommodate layers for cold days or keep you from going numb at a hanging belay. The Calidris' four gear loops hold a large rack of cams, stoppers, and hooks. Petzl also added a tag line to let you trail a rope and reload half way through a long aid pitch.
Bottom Line: For the big rigs.

with a waist size of 33 inches...what is a better size to get here? #1 or #2?

That's tough, I wish they sized this in normal small, medium, large sizes. I wear a large in the hirundos and that is pretty much perfect, although I max out the waist. I have a size 34 waist but big legs. I can't get my legs into the size 1 loops on the calidris, but I max out the waist on the size 2. I wear the two and it is comfortable with the legs open; I guess petzl does not size for ski-racer legs...
