prAna Stretch Zion Pant - Men's
prAna designed every stitch of the Men's Stretch Zion Pants with climbing performance and versatility in mind. The nylon and spandex blend helps the Stretch Zion Pants move with you as you work your way up a splitter crack. This thin and abrasion-resistant material feels cool when you need pants for thorny approaches and rough summer climbs, and double-layering on the knees and butt adds durability. Once you're through the bushwhacking, roll up the legs, snap them in place with the calf buttons, and commence sending your route. The Stretch Zion Pants' ventilated inseam gusset and quick-drying fabric keep you dry all day long.
Bottom Line: Pull on prAna's Stretch Zion Pants and say goodbye to scraped knees and shredded shorts.

what does size small/short mean? What is the inseam
Flag
It's because the Zion comes in a full length pant AND shorts. Small/Short = size small, short pants. If you wear a 30 inch inseam get the short inseam in small. The small in standard length is way too long. I wear a 29/30 pant and the short inseam in small fits me PERFECT.

I have just recieved by second pair of these pants. The first pair have lasted 4 yrs and have hardly any wear and tear after climbing everything from desert spires, to Yosemite cracks, and Colorado squeeze chimneys. I have even used them ice climbing.
The newer style has a zipper and button instead of the previous velco and buckle which I view as an improvement. Light weight and comfortable in hot weather and the small fits me perfectly (5'8" and 29" waist).

I have a decent outdoor pant collection (Ex Officio, Columbia, Gramicci, etc.) and these babies are the ones I grab first. I own 2 pair. I'm 6' and 160lb (32" x 32") and the medium fits great. They take pretty much anything I throw at them. They are fine in hot weather (Mexico and FL this summer) but also work well in cooler and windy conditions (unlike the Ex Officio Amphi Pant). They dry superfast. The small percentage of spandex in the weave makes the fabric "give" nicely when I'm rock-hopping, dancing or freerunning. My girlfriend thinks my ass looks great in them (as opposed to the baggy Columbias) and encouraged me to buy another pair. Two thigh pockets are designed perfectly for cell phone, wallet or money clip, and zip for security (6 pockets total). Caveats: The "belt" doesn't maintain tension for very long, so better be happy with the standard waist fit -- it's all you'll get. the 4 mesh pockets occasionally catch on pointy objects like eyeglasses. But that's about it. Enjoy yourself!

These pants are great for hiking/bushwhacking around Idaho and Montana in the summer. I haven't tried them in the winter but I am wondering that, if I layered underneath them with capilene, if I couldn't snowshoe in them to. Anyway, we have tons of devil's club, knapweed, shrubs and mosquitoes up here and these pants take care of all those things. I've even "assed" my way down some scree in these pants and they STILL look like new. They're very breathable. The Capri function is over rated and not worth that much IMHO...unless you were planning on wading a 6" deep creek for some reason. They are like a bell bottom fit but that means they'll go over your boots easily. I'm a 31-32 waist and a 33 inseam and I wear the medium and love it. My brother is slightly more portly (34 waist 33 inseam) and he wears a large and is happy.

Nice pant, if a little on the baggy side. Very comfortable, even in summer heat, and durability looks to be very good.

I went out climbing some offwidth cracks my first day wearing these pants and was constantly jamming my knees in the cracks. I thought I was going to destroy the pants but there was not 1 seam or thread torn. I was really impressed at how well they did against abrasion. I am 5'11", 150 and usually wear a 32 in most pants. The medium fit perfectly and this pant is great for climbing, hiking, or traveling.

I like the fit, the stretch for movement and the design. These pants are sure to please, whether at the crag or at the bar after pulling hard all day!

Good fit, functional. Not the greatest design for longevity, they will fail prematurely due to exposed surface stitching across the thighs because of the added knee pieces and the way main front pockets are stitched. Simple designs with little exposed stitching are best for durability

I recieved a pair of the prAna Zion Stretch pants as a gift. These pants have a roomy athletic fit. I use them for just about everything from hiking to training to casual dinners. The fabric is light yet durable with the perfect amount of stretch. Highly recommended.

I have an older version of the pant and I like that one enough to give it a five.
This new one has a zipper, and button, the belt is different.
Still works like a pant :-D, cut is the same, it travels well and I would wash them and they'd be dry in 15-30min.
Highly suggest it for mild - hot weather, and for travel. They travel really well. Trek the world in them if the temp says above 10C/50F.
But new design change makes it a 4.

These pants are great! The have some stretch to them so climbing or hiking is very comfortable. They can be rolled up and buttoned down if you get warm. Once you put them on you wont wanna take them off, I just ordered my second pair.

I think I made the right choice for my first pair of climbing pants. If you're considering buying the Zion shorts or knickers, don't bother. The pants can function like either and then some.

I have bought a lot of climbing/hiking/scrambling/traveling pants over the years, and these are the most comfortable and versatile I have ever owned. You can come off the mountain or out of the jungle, and after a shower, you can wear the prAna Stretch Zion Pants out to dinner. I also love the zippered side pockets for secure storage of items you want at hand (knife, compass, money, wallet, etc.).

I got this pant for my dad and was surprised on how great they are. They look really nice on, but the best part is that the material is great! My dad loved them, said that they were really comfortable. They have some buttons to roll the legs up so they are great for climbing in the fall. But they are also appropriate for work or hiking or basically anything. Great pants.
