POC Lobes Goggle

I first got a pair of the Lobes back in early 2007 and since then I've fallen in love with them. After 80+ days of use, they still perform like they did on day one. As long as you don't remain stationery for too long, they do not fog up. In fact, I have yet to apply any additional anti-fogging cloth/liquid to the lens. First thing you'll notice is the super wide peripheral view which is probably the widest offered of any goggles on the market. After much abuse, the lens has minimal scratching and I honestly couldn't be happier. The Lobes will certainly be the last brand of goggles I buy unless Poc finds some way to improve a near perfect product. One thing to note on the negative side is that the inner orange-colored foam peeled away after about 10 days, but this didn't affect performance or comfort.

I bought these at the start of last season. They allow great peripheral vision and rarely get fogged up when used with a helmet. The one downside is that they scratch very easily, partly because the lens is the first thing that touch ski edges in lift lines, etc. After waiting & searching for a long time, I was able to buy two replacement lenses online as I love these goggles.

For the person that wrote they scratch easily.What lens isn't going to scratch on a ski edge?

Took these goggles out for the first time this weekend and the field of vision on these are remarkable. I saw the landings and jumps easier with these goggles. The glare from the snow was signicantly diminished without the overbearing yellow tint. The only thing about these goggles that took some getting used was for me the fact that they sit lower on my cheeks and nose then others I have had. Overall these goggles have the ability to go the distance.

These gogs are awesome. I had to get the special edition ones and I splurged but they are worth it. The pic in my profile is of them.

They work really well on bright days. In low light you are going to want to go with another pair.

Its fun to see people just stare at you wondering where you parked your F-15.

These goggles go above and beyond. I use them for in bounds, backcountry, as well as snowmobile guiding and they hold up to everything. the optics are amazing the fit is great and their large size makes it so your vision does not get cut down by the frames.
ALSO THEY LOOK FRIGGIN SWEET

I've been hooked on Oakley since I can't remember when until POC came along with the Lobes. They're super sweet! They provide amazing clarity and unreal peripheral vision. I'm stoked on them. I've got the black w/ mirror lenses and they do great on sunny days and decently well in flat light. Just take care of the mirror lenses since they do tend to scratch pretty easily. The goggles are pretty big on your face but that provides an excellent field of vision. If you're in a toss up between these and another pair just do it and get these. You weren't be upset. I never thought I'd buy anything other than Oakley until these. They're sick!

The poc lobes are crazy. I have skied in both canada and the united states so far this winter and i have never seen anyone elce with them on. Great lenses, above all these are the best looking goggles i have ever seen. Note that buying the goggle case would be a solid move considering that they have so little frame they may not stand up well to a ture beating.

Despite large lens, peripheral and downward vision is limited by an intrusive frame. Very disappointing and not what I anticipated when I ordered them.

Never fogged(NEVER), 30 second swap for lenses and unparalleled optics and vision. These have the sickest styling out there and really stand out for all to envy. I have gotten countless compliments and everyone seems to want to know were I got these. I have these paired w/ the Smith Hustle helmet and the integration is seamless!!! Replacement lenses can be found at ski-depot.com and the Pink lenses are the best for low/flat light conditions, contrary to previous reviews. The Champagnes are OK, but man up and get the Pink if you want to see in poor conditions(I have tried all the lenses). If you want attention and beautiful piece of equipment, get the POC Lobes!

Ya, everyone asks about them thinking they are "Electric" or "Smith" 'cause the newer styles have little or no visable frame. Noone knows where to get 'em cause they are made Sweden. I purchased the green lens and is fine on cloudy days with around 18% VLT. If you need more light go with the blue lens which is around 36% VLT. On sunny days i'd rather be wearing my Oakley Juliet sunglasses 'cause of the dark tint but if you need some serious tint go with the black lens or buy it as a replacement lens. Also they are advertised as having more peripherial vision but I found them to be the same as Oakley Wisdom goggles. Anyways, they gets lots of looks, stares and questions. Tend to fog up like any other goggle, with conditions equal.

Great visibility and comfort. And you have the added benefit of looking like a test pilot for NASA. Love 'em.

I love these goggles, you have unrestricted peripheral vision. I have not encountered any of the fogging issues, however I wear sunglasses like most backcountry enthusiasts while skinning. I bought these goggles for their styling however was really impressed with their function also.

I got two LOBES goggles.
It's easy to get fogged. It got fogged at once when a little sweating.there is can no use in the backcountry.
