Pearl Izumi Quest Road Cycling Shoe - Women's
Pearl Izumi made the Women's Quest Road Bike Shoes with three secure straps and a vented nylon sole, so your feet get plenty of support without the buckle-strap and carbon fiber price tag. Leather and mesh uppers on the Quest Road Bike Shoes cool your feet during long rides, and a synthetic heel lining prevents lift throughout rotations.
Bottom Line: Pearl Izumi's Quest Road Bike Shoes provide support and comfort without leaving your wallet limp.

Speedplay cleats should be compatible with these shoes. My Speedplay pedals came with an adapter kit that allowed attachment to a 3-hole shoe like this one in addition to shoe drilled for SPD or SPD-SL.

These are road specific shoes so unless you bring your own pedals a mountain bike shoe like Northwave Bike Lizzard Cycling Shoes size 39.5

In general, a 42 would fit you well. If you know your euro shoe size for dress or formal shoes, base it off of that.

Nope. This shoe is a 3-bolt shoe, and isn't really compatible with SPD.
Actually, more specifically it is compatible with Shimano SPD-SL & other 3 hole patterns.
SPD-SL is Shimano's road specific cleat. NOT to be confused with the mountain bike/general use pedal SPD. (commonly used in spin classes)

yes, but why would you want to do that? Embrace clip in pedals, they are a performance enhancer by a long shot.
