Patagonia Capilene 3 Mock-Neck Top - Long-Sleeve - Women's
The slim-fit Patagonia Women's Capilene 3 Mock-Neck Top features honeycomb fabric that insulates and breathes so you stay comfy in the mountains, and it compresses well for packing. This wicking Patagonia top has a mock turtleneck for added warmth without the bulk of a turtleneck or zippered neck. Raglan sleeves and offset side seams ensure this capilene top doesn't chafe under pack straps or hip-belt.
Bottom Line: Wear this top when you play outdoors in cool or cold weather.

Just wondering if someone can describe what capilene feels like?
Just wondering if someone can describe what capilene feels like? Is it softer like wool? Or more like a shiny & stretchy fabric? thank you!

Uhmm....yes. : ) It is a man-made fabric but it's somewhere between cotton and silk as far as feeling. It's slightly stretchy and not at all itchy. I would call it less fibrous than a wool or cotton though. It's very comfortable and quite "sporty." I (and my wife) have several layers of capilene (but I think I now prefer the wool baselayers a little more: either by Patagonia or Icebreaker.) They are more natural and I like the way they feel a little more.

if you hate the scratchy feeling that some against the skin layers give, then you'll love this top. Really soft, and incredibly warm. Got it for snowboarding in the colder temperatures, and I love it!
this piece is several times better than anything from under armour.
this piece is several times better than anything from under armour. Quality of fabric and construction are incomparable, and the recycled content is an added bonus. This piece will be way more comfortable and last longer for sure

I purchased this for a cold Maine Holiday - it was perfect. I bought an XL (hate things tight)and it was perfect but not especially roomy - you may want a size up. Feels great, toasty and great quality. Thanks!
