Patagonia Duway Skirt - Women's

If you have a hard time remembering to sit like a lady when you wear a skirt, you need the Patagonia Women's Duway Skirt. With built-in shorts underneath, the Duway lets you stay active and classy. A soft, water-repellent finish makes this above-the-knee skirt great for travel wear. The Duway resists wrinkles, so it you can wear it even after it spends a few days in your suitcase. Zippered side vents add mobility when you ride bikes or pop in for a short bouldering session.

Bottom Line: The Patagonia Duway gives you the fashion points of a skirt and the practicality of shorts.

Nice.

Really like this skort. I am more of a pear shaped kinda gal and this skort fits pretty well. I am normally a size 8-10 and got this skort in an 8. It fits a lil loose around the waist, so I might get it altered. Other than that, the fabric feels really nice. The color is nice and subtle (I got the MOREL; in the picture it looked flashier than it really is). The short inside could be a lil tighter and maybe stretchy. The zippers are a good addition which makes biking a lot easier. I think this garment will be a great allrounder for work, casual and travel.

Liked the fabric, but not the fit

I tried this skort in a size 4 and a size 2, and sent 'em both back to Patagonia. The 4 falls off me; the 2 is too tight across the butt & too big in the waist. The rise is just... odd... for a skirt. Maybe 20-year-old women like skirts that are so low-rise they barely go above the hips -- that seemed to be the style everywhere this summer -- but I'm not fond of that look in general, and definitely not on me (age 47). Also, these low-rise skirts and skorts look terrible on someone with a long torso, like me. Seriously not flattering. I don't like skirts or pants that are "high-rise," but I need more coverage than these low-rise clothes provide. Harumph. The search for skirts or skorts continues.

Wrinkle Resistant?

By:
August 4, 2008

I love this skirt, but I have to laugh at it's claim to wrinkle resistance. It's not resistant to wrinkles at all. A short trip, packed well in a carry on resulted in wrinkles that had to be ironed out. It wrinkles when I sit down for any period of time, too. It's a nice skirt and looks great, but it is NOT wrinkle resistant by ANY stretch of the imagination.

This skort is a stunner! Not too long and not too short, it fits beautifully. The fabric is luxurious. The red color is deep and intense. A real winner!

Peachy-fine

I love this skirt! The fabric is so soft & comfortable AND it looks classy-not like any old skort. Definitely work-worthy wear. My only complaint is the inner shorts should be 'boy style' & form fitting out of some stretchy material, such as capilene, then the skirt would be a lot more bike friendly!

easy fit, comfortable, great fabric. The material is not as wrinkle-resistant as claimed, but still pretty good.
