Patagonia Inter-Continental Hideaway Skirt - Women's

Patagonia included built-in shorts when it designed the Women's Inter-Continental Hideaway Skirt, so you can take your skirt style to the trail without the drawbacks. The Hideaway Skirt's DWR-coated nylon-polyester blend dries quickly, repels light rain, and doesn't stain easily. Two hand pockets and a cargo pocket give you plenty of places to keep Chapstick, car keys, and other small necessities.

Bottom Line: Skirt + shorts = the Patagonia Hideaway Skirt.

Took it to Mexico. Great skirt. A little big but it has belt loops. It wrinkles, but some wrinkles do fall out if you hang it up overnight. Love pockets and hidden shorts. Tried on a bunch of others and liked this one. You can dress it up or down.

Great Skort

It is a very comfortable skirt and it does run a little large. I have to agree with another poster that it does wrinkle easily but its nice fit and comfort out weigh the wrinkles.

Fits loose, feels good, washes well

Think designer fit. This skirt is loose on me in a size 6 but is comfy and works. The size 4 fit better, but it did not sit as low on the hip and was too short for my tallish (5'7") frame. The Earthenware color is a nice dark taupe and looks great with black. Looked fine for a casual dinner after a day of activity. Washed and dried well.

Runs a little big, but otherwise great.

This runs a little bigger than the Duway skirt by the same company. I bought both in a size 4, and the Duway skirt fits perfectly, but this one is about a half size too big. I think the size 2 would be too small, so I'm sticking with the looser fit. The carbon color is a dark grey, not really black at all, but it's a nice color and will go with a lot of things.

Love it!

I have this in both tan and black and absolutely love it! It fits perfectly and is very figure flattering. I wear it to play golf and the pocket is great for concealing golf balls, etc. without looking bulky. It is so comfortable that I'd wear it every day if I could. It is a little on the short side to be able to wear to the office, though.

Versatile travel skirt

I bought this skirt for vacation, but have been wearing it at home as well. I have it in beechwood(tan)and blackberry(grayish black) colors. Both colors are neutral. That means less to pack in the suitcase, always a nice thing. They wash and dry super fast. It dries on a hanger super fast, within an hour. I can see this coming handy for a trip to Mexico next year. The skirt does run large, so order down a size. I like the hidden short underneath. I would recommend this skirt to anyone wanting a carefree skirt that can be dressed up or down.

Could use design improvement

By:

Love the pockets, nice material. My only complaint is that the button/ tie front sticks out. This is my pet peeve with many skirts & shorts- anyone who shares this complaint should check out the Patagonia Duway skirt. It's made of an even nicer material w/ DWR finish and has an exceptionally smooth fitting front.

Comfortable skort

Wear this skort for work or play. Lightweight comfortable material. Cinch waist helps it fit true to size. Large pockets. Bought this skort in three colors.

shockingly attractive

The fit of this is right on, three fingers below the navel, fitted enough to be flattering, but allows plenty of movement. Best of all, it is so comfortable. Much better than most other outdoor wear in that someone who has a certain sensibility about their appearance would be comfortable wearing it to work and around town, not just to play in the woods and travel.

Versatile Skirt

I bought this skirt mainly for traveling. I wanted something more feminine and polished than shorts. It fits great, is comfortable, and achieves the casual dressy look I was striving for. You can dress down with a pair of flip-flops or dress up with some low strappy sandals. Unlike other skorts, you can't see the shorts part when you sit down. Big plus for me. I sometimes even wear this to work! Just a note though, the pockets do not have zippers.
