Patagonia Down Sweater - Women's

Thought the color was great on the bright green version of this jacket, but the fit was off. I am tall and slender and this jacket is not made for my body type. It also runs large to say the least (I ordered a large and it was ENORMOUS width-wise). I returned it for the North Face Thunder Down jacket and couldn't be happier.

If you like to play outside, and you don't want to be hampered by the cold, this is the piece for you. It's 800-fill goose down; it doesn't get much warmer than that. What I love the most about it is that it's also very compact, so you're not going to feel like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.

Because I live and play in Alaska, it's hard to tell when things are going to get a bit chilly in the evenings. I bring mine camping with me. Stuffed into its pocket, it makes a pretty decent pillow for a mummy bag, but since it's serving double duty as a warm-up, I don't feel guilty at all about the extra space or ounces.

I bought two of them - one for me and one for my husband. We both ordered our regular size "medium" and it fits just fine. It is very light and will pack into its pocket. That's great when you need to take it on a hiking trip and have to carry with you because of changing weather. We had no opportunity to wear it yet as it is summer right now. However, it fits perfectly under our GORETEX jackets so it should be warm enough with additional layers. It shipped quickly, but delivery was a bit complicated because of Canadian customs sending it back and forth. We also got a big surprise from Canadian customs - outside of the shipping, they charged additional $150 for duty and GST. So, instead of $200, we paid $300 for each sweater. If you can, order through a retail store in Canada. It should save you some money on currency conversion and duty.

I bought this jacket with a winter trip to New Zealand in mind. It is cut a bit large, but was also very comfortable with layers - including a wool sweater - underneath. I plan on using this jacket for camping, and could see how it would double as a pillow if necessary. The jacket is also very light weight, and stuffs into small places easily. Highly recommended!

I first "felt" this on a friend when I patted her on the back - HOW can a Jacket be so SOFT?? SHe went on to say how she had it over a year and it looked great and is still water-proof, blahblahblah, so I finally had to get one - it is EVERYTHING it is purported to be - I got an extra-large because I am 6' and layer it and for me it doesn't seem weirdly poofy and it is the perfect length, and, as someone else said "buy it, you know you want to!" I LOVE IT!!

I just had to have the Patagonia down jacket, but was skeptical about the color, and it's true, it's not for a "dirty" girl. However, the versatility of the jacket far outweighs the fact that it gets dirty easily. It is warm, fits great, compact, and is quickly becoming one of my favorite jackets for work and play.

I first saw this jacket on a woman at a cafe in Seattle, it caught my eye the minute I saw it and I bought one as soon as I found out what it is. It not only looks great, but it's incredibly versatile - practical, looks good and ever so thin. But really warm to this freezy-cat. I've given as a gift to several people, and everyone falls in love with it.

This jacket fits a bit big - it is a "regular fit". I originally ordered my normal size small and found the shoulder wide and sleeve length long. I downsized to an Xsmall and it fits snug, not tight, around the waist and the rest fits just right, so this is a keeper.

It performed as promised, windproof, light and warm. Looks-wise: I compared it with the North Face Thunder down and much preferred this. Although, the shoulder is wider and sleeves longer than the North Face, I found that the overall look is more tailored, less puffy and "classier" - no large logos in front and back (only a small discreet tag on the hem) and fabric not shiny.
I highly recommend this, especially the "marishino" red, it is a nice and cheerful red and no dark feathers showing through. So far (worn a couple of times), no feather poking through ... yet.

The Patagonia Xsmall fits almost equivalent to the North Face Thunder Small.

I bought this sweater after camping above treeline and freezing my butt off. I figured it would be a good layering piece of clothing to backpack with..compressible enough to stuff but warm enough to be layered. It's not warm enough to be worn alone if the weather is cold but it's a nice sweater for cool but not cold days.

... I wore this a few times now and not loosing any downs, so I am very pleased with my purchase. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a light, warm and compact down jacket to wear when you reached the peak - it compressed down very well, so it takes up hardly any room in the backpack. I take this along whenever I go snowshoeing or hiking and put it on when I reached the peak while I admire the scenery.
I have the red one and definitely will buy another one next year, in another color.

I wear my Patagonia Down Sweater underneath my rain shell and I'm waterproof and warm! I love it. I can't wait to go on vacation and pack this into its own pocket.

Great looks, warm, not bulky. I gave this to my wife for Christmas, and she thinks I'm a hero... do I need to say more?

I already have the NorthFace down jacket, but it's loosing a feather here and there a little too often, so I wanted to try this one. The Patagonia (natural) colour was also more attractive to me. Fits nicely and all, incredibly comfortable, love the colour, but the fill is thinner than NorthFace's, so it doesn't feel as warm: I use the NorthFace one in very cold weather, with a vest over it, for me it's wonderfully warm and cosy AND lightweight. It's also more sexy somehow and the finish is actually "much" nicer at the wrists and it has a great invisible outside pocket at the chest which I find very practical. I'm happy with my Patagonia purchase, and I'll use it underneath another jacket, but I won't sport it out the way I do with my NorthFace one, which I've had for over a year.

This is my second Patagonia down sweater. I purchase a larger size than I would normally wear as I need to have room to layer and I don't mind the losse fit anyway.
Maraschino Red will take me everywhere in States or Asia. I ordered the medium and am probably a small. The peacock blue is also beautiful but maybe next year.

After looking at this product for 3 months, I finally bought it and wish I had sooner. Great, none bulky layer for skiing. For any day under 30 degrees, I wear a mid-weight base layer, this jacket and my shell. It's perfect. Good for touring on cold days. I'm 5'7" medium frame and the small fits well.
Color is light green.

Sumptuous jacket. Gorgeous color. However, it is too small in the hips and does not cover the posterior. For $200.00 I expect all that. It should be fitted like the Lily Jacket that is more woman friendly.
However, if you are not at all the "hippy" type;
want a short, light jacket that looks pretty cool, and cost is no object; this is the one for you.

This jacket fits really well, and doesn't look like I'm wearing a box. It is pretty warm, and packs down small. Fits true to size.

I ordered the cream color and the fabric was so thin you could see the feathers. I loved how light weight and compressable it was, but I don't think it would be very warm. It does run on the big side. I might try it again, in a dark color.
