Patagonia Synchilla Marsupial Jacket - Men's

The Patagonia Marsupial is an incredibly warm and comfy casual piece. The fit is more relaxed and a bit baggy for comfort. I would not recommend it as a technical layering piece due to this, and I don't think Patagonia intended it to fill that role. The large pocket gives you the hand-warming capabilities of a hoody while retaining the softness of a fleece. The Marsupial is not wind-proof in the least, but this makes it more breathable. Who needs to cut the wind when you're lounging around the cabin anyway? If you're an outdoor nut, you'll probably also appreciate that this article is made mostly from recycled materials using environmentally friendly techniques. You can also recycle the shirt when you finally wear it out!

As typical, great piece of gear from the folks at Patagonia. More of a casual layer than a base layer for me as I like my underlayers to be a snug athletic fit. I love the center pocket and it's warm as an evening fire.

There is nothing fancy or technical about this fleece. It's warm and comfortable wet or dry, and is great for knocking around the campsite or pounding the pavement downtown. The stash pocket isn't quite made for carrying around your little ones, but it sure is good when your hands get chilled. You'll probably also have a great time trying to figure out how something can be this soft and be made out of mostly recycled materials.

Overall, I am very pleased with this fleece. The elongated zipper provides adequate ventilation when needed. My only complaint is that the marsupial pocket is not completely fleece lined. The inside of the pocket is a mesh material that does not keep the hands as warm as they could be.

orbit blue looks great .. size fits just right... good in slightly cool or cold weather. Excellent product!

This is one of my all time favorite pieces of fleece gear. It is super warm, especially for its weight, and the fit is perfect. I have worn it comfortably in temps down into the upper 30s while inactive and in temps down into the teens while active. Truly a versatile, excellent item.

The Patagonia Synchilla Marsupial is always a great choice and this is the 4th that I've bought. Warmer than it's weight would suggest and a sharp looking alternative to a basic sweatshirt. The black is my personal fav as far as color goes but all would offer the same Patagonia quality and versatility. Love it!

It is warm, fits perfectly, and is comfortable enough to sleep in. Plus, it just looks amazing. Don't be hesitant about the red color. I feared it might be a garish red, but it's a beautiful, deep, muted red that the eye never gets tired of looking at. Looks equally good with jeans and khakis. I recommend this fleece to anyone.

I liked the fleece. It is exactly what I was hoping for. Lightweight but warm, with a loose fitting for off-trail use. Unfortunately the stitching on the bottom started to come undone after less than a month of us. This site was great about taking the return though and I hope to buy another Patagonia fleece with better luck when they are back in stock.

I ordered this fleece for both my mother and my little brother and I own one myself. This a great fleece, very comfortable, keeps you warm and is usually big enough to throw an extra layer underneath. Great for fall and spring or in chilly indoor areas in the winter.

I recently purchase my second and third Patagonia Marsupial jackets and couldn't be more pleased with them. I really like them and they last a very long time. My first was purchased in the mid 90's and is still in tip-top shape after hundreds of wears.

I am so excited that you have Patagonia gear. The fleece I ordered came quickly and seemed great - except that the color was not what was described to me over the phone. I thought it would be a dark grey and it was a pale (almost pastel) blue-grey...so I returned it. But everyone I have talked to at Backcountry.com has been super nice and I'll definitely come back again soon.

I've had a number of Polartec vests, jackets and shirts, but this one is the nicest. Great fit, style and quality. Looks good, even after pulling up the sleeves a few times. Absolutely no pilling. Warm and light. Exactly what I expected from Patagonia - great price too.

It's my second one; obviously I love them. It's great for a breathable (read non-wind-resistant) fleece.

Nice and warm. Is okay except for the collar which I cannot get to lay flat. I have had cheap Columbia's that did not do this.
