Patagonia R1 Flash Pullover - Women's

The Patagonia Women's R1 Flash Pullover is a base layer, an outer layer, or a mid-layer, depending on your activity and weather conditions. The stretchy R1 Flash material wicks perspiration away from your body and carries it to this pullover's microfiber face—these microfiber yarns have a high surface area, which speeds evaporation. Patagonia's R1 fabric insulates as well as it wicks, and it's highly compressible. For ventilation, unzip the offset collar, positioned to avoid rubbing your chin. Lightweight stretch panels under the arms increase breathability and mobility, and reduce bulk. Sized for next-to-skin use, the Patagonia R1 Flash is contoured for a close, feminine fit to maximize fabric performance.

Bottom Line: Put on this Patagonia top and you'll be dry and warm in a Flash.

get a few of these

really comfy next to skin and warm! i use mine for running and snowboarding as a layer. My only beef with it is that it is hard to put other layers over it because the fabric tends to cling to the other layers so i look for a more slippery layer or a heavy fleece to wear with it. I wear about 4 layers though. It's a top quality piece and I own at least 3.

Spendy, but worth it

Great layering piece, it works well layered under a ski jacket or over a tee on a spring bike ride. The outside is durable poly, but the inside is soft fleece. It is very fitted, if you plan to put anything underneath it, I would bump up a size.

comfortable and warm!

This pullover definitely runs a size small if you're not using it for it's intended purpose as a baselayer. If you get one size bigger it can be a great softshell/sweater. The fabric is very soft and the cut fits a woman's body nicely. You will be very toasty wearing it under another jacket. If you plan on using it for heavy activity i would recommend wearing it by itself with a scarf or zipped up all the way. All-around: a great product.

Took this with me on an Alaskan cruise/tour. Perfect. Love the fit and the color. Patagonia does tend to run on the small size.

Tight

Man, I was so excited to get this fleece. plus Patagonia makes the coolest stuff. This particular item was tight. Really tight, which I think it's supposed to be, but it was a size smaller than what I normally wear in Patagonia.

An Essential Layer!

I probably wear this layer 2x/week in the winter and it is an essential part of my wardrobe. It is ideal as an outer layer for running & perfect under a shell for colder days on the mountain. I don't think I own another layer that wicks moisture as efficiently. In addition to great performance, it fits comfortably close to the body (with enough room for a light layer underneath) without any chafing at the neck. I am usually between a small & medium, but wear a small in this item.

I love this shirt

I originally bought this shirt as just another base layer, but it has turned into one of my essential clothing items. I find that it is perfect to wear as a mid layer and it keeps me warm on those cool mountain nights without being bulky. Not only do i love wearing it in the field, but I also find myself wearing it around house and for just about anything.
