Patagonia Lightweight Glove Liners

Patagonia glove liners make all the difference when getting into my Marmot mitts. Without them, my hands get hung up trying to pull the mitts on. With the liners on, hands slide right into the mitts. Good product.

As much as I would like to give this glove the lowest rating, it does do its job when it is just being used as a liner. That said, this glove is oversized (get a size smaller) and falls apart if you even sneeze too hard. I ripped holes in every single finger on both hands and in the palms after only 4 days of use. I had used them under a mitten while on a glacier, but when I took the mittens off to tie my boots or rig my rope, the gloves were toast. Snags on velcro and pulls apart too.

It's Patagonia, so quality isn't an issue. Great for the skier/rider/backcountry user that needs just a little more warmth without adding bulk. Once in your stash pocket, you will probably forget that they are even there. However, when the barometer starts to drop you will be glad you found them. They offer just enough insulation to make difference and they don't bind up when putting your hand in your glove.

I'm a long-distance backpacker who uses walking poles, and I wanted gloves that help protect my hands from sun and bugs, absorb and wick perspiration, and clean easily and dry quickly. These gloves succeed on all counts. They also cover my wrists and part of my lower forearms, offering additional protection. I didn't need particularly warm gloves, however they do keep my hands warm on summer/fall mornings and evenings. I have large (but not overly large) hands, and, happily, my XL pair is the first that lives up to its sizing. For the purpose, these are useful and comfortable.

The gloves are very thin, which would be ok if they were tighter on my hand - but they are very loose and i only wear them under gloves. I have rather large hands and they were loose.

The liners are got are PERFECT except for the size. They're a little big as I ordered a medium and didn't bother to check and sizing charts. But I can wear these alone and they keep my hands warmer than my regular gloves.

Because of this gloves I almost lost 3 fingers, It didn’t provided enough drying and heat. They torn all apart verry fast and didn’t last even one day with out tearing; I could not do anything with out tearing them. These gloves are the worst that I have bought

I use these liners under the Dakine Viper Gloves for biking in the winter. Its perfect down to about 0 degrees Celsius. Below that temp, they tend to get a little cold... When they say "lightweight", what they mean is ultralight. They are almost translucently thin when stretched over your hand. Its nice for wicking moisture, adding a hair of extra warmth, and preventing blisters (for you ice climbing types). If you are seeking lots of warmth, you might want a thicker model.
