Patagonia Capilene 3 Bottoms - Women's

Gear up for cold weather with the Patagonia Women's Capilene 3 Bottoms. Patagonia made these fast-wicking midweight base layer bottoms from 64% recycled honeycomb Capilene 3 material for morning ski tours or any aerobic workout in cold weather. A gusseted crotch allows for easy striding on your cross country skis, while a contoured cut and brushed surface make for comfortable layering. Patagonia's Gladiodor anti-microbial coating keeps the smell down for multi-day hut trips.

Bottom Line: Work hard without working up a sweat in the Patagonia Capilene 3 Bottoms.

Rockstar Thermals

These are the best thermals I've ever had. I live in Breck, CO and wore them probably a hundred days last season, on the mountain and off. They are still kicking and I'll be wearing them again this upcoming snow season. I'm 5'5, 135lbs and the M works great. They are easy to take care of, though I never dry them.

the photo of these Patagonia Capilene 3 Bottoms - Women's appear...

the photo of these Patagonia Capilene 3 Bottoms - Women's appear to have a very short crotch - thus making it impossible to get coverage all the way up the small of your back to your waist -- is that right? are these hip riders rather than fitting at the waist? THANKS!!

Outstanding quality

I would recommend these pants to anyone who gets easily cold during winter. I wore them while snowboarding in Breck, CO under my ski pants and not once did I feel cold. Now I wear them under my jeans and they're amazing. Not bulky, they wick away moisture like no other. My friend has owned capilene products from Patagonia for many years now while climbing in Colorado every summer and they still look new. I got the xsmall since I weight 103 lbs and those are still a bit large for me, but I don't mind it. Already bought a couple of pairs for my mom and plan on buying a couple more for myself.

Stop your wife from complaining!

My wife loves the fit, and loves how warm she is skiing now. They seem to fit a little larger but they are super thin for just Cap 3. Cap 4 seems to be pretty thick and Cap 2 about the same thickness but not as warm. Warning, your wife might start complaining about being warm since she wont worry about being cold!

Very Warm!

I really like the feel of these pants. They are very soft against your skin. Way too long for me, though. I wish Patagonia had petite sizes.

Cold no more!

I'm always cold when skiing, and the previous base layers I tried had leg bands at the bottom that were very uncomfortable under ski boots. Following a recommendation, I went with the Capilene 3s, with a fleece layer before the shell. They were great! Very comfortable, moved with me but didn't ride up, great flat seams, and best of all toasty warm! Worth every penny!

Cozy and Warm

These bottoms are wonderful for pajamas here in the cold north! I buy a size up for extra comfort, but it appears that they are true to size. Definitely not as warm as Capilene 4 and a nice midweight with a low profile.

nice

These pants are nice and light enough under clothing. Only thing I wish they had was ribbing at the bottoms to help them stay down.
