Patagonia Wool 2 Crew - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Roll out of bed, pull on the Patagonia Men's Wool 2 Long-Sleeve Crew, and head out for a dawn trail run or ski tour. This lightweight, contoured-fit base layer keeps you dry like a synthetic top, but it naturally resists odors and insulates even when it's wet. Patagonia used an organic eco-wash to make the Wool 2 Crew base layer incredibly soft—other manufacturers use chlorine treatments. Patagonia gave this New Zealand merino wool base layer top a crewneck so that your chest isn't crowded with zippers when you're layered for a ski tour. Off-set seams prevent chafing underneath your ski bibs or backpack.

Bottom Line: You'll never wear synthetic again once you try the Patagonia Wool 2 Crew.

Very soft, warm, and not too itchy. Holds shape well over many washings.

The Patagonia wool line is exceptional. The wool 2 crew is perfect for laying and keeps me dry and warm. I would definitely buy again.

Best long underwear for skiing

Best long underwear for skiing. Period. Sized so it stops at the top of your ski bottoms, trim but not snug, and wool so it doesn't stink. All you need.

This is a great base layer.

I used it on a trip to the Guadalupe mountains in mid March. It kept me warm when the temps dropped at night, but is breathable and kept me cool when the temps increased during the days. The shirt is soft, no itching (BIG +) and didn't stink after two straight days of use. Worth every penny!

Almost Perfect

The thinnest, plushest wool baselayer I've had. I can't wait to put it on, and do any chance I get. Only downside it durability. This item get snags and holes at the drop of a hat. If you machine wash, do so only on gentle without any clothes that have zippers or sharp parts. If it cost $45, I'd give it a 5 and accept the durability issues.
