Patagonia Micro Puff Jacket - Men's

Cold winds, snow, and misty mountain weather depletes your body of the heat that it generates. The Patagonia Men's Micro Puff Jacket features partially recycled insulation that warms your body's core, even when it's wet. Patagonia treated the lightweight jacket with durable water repellent so you can wear it on its own or, if the weather gets particularly nasty, under a shell. The Micro Puff is extremely compressible and comes in a stuff sack, so you can have it with you at all times.

Bottom Line: Patagonia packs maximum insulation into a tiny stuff sack.

Feels So Good

By:

This is a great warming jacket, that not only keeps me toasty warm waiting with my son for the school bus, but is also made from recycled poly, so save an oil field. Large enough to layer underneath, and skirt drawstrings make it adjustable enough to wear under or over any of my shell options. Packs down to nothing, came with its own stuff sack, and very generous pockets for my gloves, overmitts, or a hat. Love this jacket!

Good all around Jacket

By:

The fit of this jacket seems to be a bit big. I usually wear a large, but I kind of feel like I am swimming in the large size. Other than that I love it. It packs to about the size of an orange, and it is really light. I haven't had it in wet conditions yet, but for cold temps it performs great. I usually pack it on backcountry ski tours, but i am starting to use it as a quick throw on around town as well. The material seems tough enough to take some abuse to. All in all i am very happy with this jacket

Great for fall/winter

This synthetic piece works great in cold, wet conditions as a layer, or as a stand alone piece in milder temps. On the whole, just what you would expect from Patagonia.

One stop insulation.

I had the pullover and bought the jacket because they are more versatile than pullovers for me. Note: description is off. It has one interior mesh pocket and 3 exterior pockets (2 waist and 1 chest).

Just what I was hoping for

My friend urged me to get the pullover, which he loves. I prefer the full zipper and more pockets. At first I wasn't sure I'd keep it. I wanted black but only could get red on short notice, plus the fit is boxy. I packed it with tags still on for a rainy 30deg-40deg hard hike trip. On the hike I decided to use it. I've never looked back. Not as warm as my expedition down coat, but so much lighter. I feel good in it now. I no longer see it as boxy. I even wear it around my neighborhood - and enjoy it! I highly recommend it. One thing I've been meaning to ask is why I can't find the interior stash pocket. That's a bit annoying.
