Patagonia Ready Mix Jacket - Women's

The Patagonia Ready Mix Jacket is a lightweight softshell wonder. Softshell technology has been taking over the outdoor industry for the last few seasons. Due to their weather-shedding abilities and advanced breathability, softshell designs are ready for active pursuits. The Ready mix is the lightest full-protection softshell that Patagonia makes. Their revolutionary Composite Seam System increases weather-proofing while decreasing weight and bulk. Built for a variety of conditions and activities, this jacket has a soft interior to move moisture away from your body as you exert yourself. Long chest-pockets double as vents and store the things that you need close at hand. An ingenious angled zipper keeps your chin cozy when tucked away under the Optipull hood. Cut to be worn with layers, this softshell can handle bad weather and good.

Bottom Line: This aptly named jacket is Ready to Mix it up anytime and in any conditions.

Women's Ready Mix Jacket from Patagonia works well

By:

I got this jacket from Patagonia to use as a ski jacket--not to provide warmth, just for wind and moisture protection. I went skiing in Vermont wearing it in late December 2006; during a storm (with some temporary whiteout conditions at the top of Sugarbush's ski resort), I stayed dry and fairly comfortable. The cuffs have Velcro which seals well, and the hood can be tightened to fit. I wore this jacket over long underwear (synthetic), a thin wool ski-style sweater, and a sleek Marmot fleece and stayed dry and comfortable, even as the temperature dropped. The jacket pockets are pretty ample and you can easily carry some snacks and misc. items in them as you ski.
