Patagonia Freightliner Max Rolling Gear Bag - 7500 cu in

The Freightliner Max from Patagonia is almost twice as big as their regular Freightliner. Storage space on this modern day duffel consists of a large compartment with U-shape opening and two mesh pockets on the underside of the lid. The same great stand-up system prevents the bag from tipping over. The seamless, molded-foam and Ballistics cloth bottom protects contents. Tough in-line skate wheels with protective housing and impact-resistant skidplates will keep you rolling for countless miles. Like everything Patagonia makes, this soft luggage is top quality.

Bottom Line: Massive gear and clothing transportation.

I love this bag! It's BIG, and always works! My wife used it for her trip to UK and she loved it. Too bad Patagonia is increasing the price this summer, now Patagonia charges $400 instaed of $325 (yikes!) Welcome to Patagucci PataTumi world! Get it while Backcountry.com has it cheaper than other guys!

No nonsense top quality bag from top company. I have used the standard FL bag for years but needed to bring motorcycle gear abroad - the Max FL is cavernous!

Patagonia Freightliner

I chose this particular luggage primarily by name brand. However after just one trip the zipper jammed. I had called backcountry who had advised me to first contact the manufacturer. Patagonia has not responded to my e-mail inquiry after two weeks.

Gorgeous Luggage

Just took this bag to Tahoe and Utah for a week. Beautifully constructed, rolls very well, fits a week’s worth of clothes, ski gear (including two helmets, snowboard boots, ski boots), and withstood the test of baggage handlers. Expensive, but worth it.

Gear Hauler

I just recently bought the Freightliner and the Freightliner max. For the first time after comming back from my travels, I am not thinking of which kind of luggage I will need to buy next. Both these pieces held up great to all kinds of abuses by me and others. I would purchase them again but lucky for me, it looks like these will last for a while.

Patagonia Freightliner Max, Rolling Cavern

By:

This is my second Patagonia Freightliner. I bought mine( the first one) in September for a 9 day Ireland golf trip. Everything I needed, except for my clubs fit in the thing. The zip compartment in the bottom of the bag, conveniently colored yellow was very useful---dirty laundry, damp items went in there. The mesh upper compartments were also very useful for shoe storage, etc. We moved around a lot--3 hotels, seven golf courses. The Freightliner was tossed in and out of vans, rolled around airports, tossed around by baggage handlers and used as a closet---no problem. Sturdy and well designed. In contrast, my wife bought a monster rolling bag from The Sharper Image. It was heavy, the hard sides a pain, and the pull handle lasted 3 days. It went back, and the Freightliner I just bought replaced it. Problem solved. The only problem is that It holds so much stuff so well that the entire shoe closet goes in, and things get heavy. This bag is the best I have seen. See ya.
