Patagonia Capilene Silkweight Hiking Crew Liner Socks - 2006
These Capilene silkweight liner socks rule for trail running, hiking, mountaineering, you name it. They're constructed with Patagonia's amazing Capilene wicking fabric on the inside for superior moisture control, and nylon on the outside for durability. Wear them alone in hot, humid conditions (think trekking in Puerto Rico) or as a liner for extra warmth in cold weather (think skiing in Salt Lake City). There's much more to these than just moisture wicking though. An innovative, rib-cuff design is non-restrictive and prevents them from sloughing into your boots, and a seamless toe box adds comfort for the long hual.
Bottom Line: An ever versatile, 4-season Capilene sock.

I took two fifteen mile hikes at St. Joe's State Park in Florida. I was wearing a light pack. The socks lived up to their hype. My feet stayed dry and I am happy with the purchase.

These socks are very thin and light! They add another small layer to reduce friction on my feet. It's nice to be able to fit my regular boot size with 2 socks- a liner and a thick wool sock.. VERY NICE- recommended for anyone who wants to reduce friction!

I hike the PCT in New Balance shoes and liner socks. I took these on a 22 mile hike and they were very comfortable. I will take these on more hikes to see if they last, but it looks good so far. I like the solid weave. It is the "fluffy" socks that have a lot of play in the weave that will give you blisters.
