Palmer Power Link System Standard Lifters

The Palmer Power Link System (PLS) Standard Lifters give your board more juice. With 10mm of lift, these plates make heelside turns feel like toeside turns and toesides feel more confident and powerful than ever. These lifters' all-mountain versatility lets you hop down chutes, ride waves of pow, or hit your favorite trailside jibs with confidence. Large feet? Fear not, the PLS lifter helps keep your toes from tripping you up. By increasing the distance from your feet to the edges of the board, the Power Link System eliminates the drag of big feet.

Bottom Line: Turbo charge your ride with the PLS Standard lifters.

All boarders should have one

By: donovanram2014294 (1)

This is the single best piece of equipment that makes me a better all-around boarder. It allows you to hold an edge longer on pack powder or ice. All boarders should have one on their deck.

what is the difference between the standard and super? my son...

what is the difference between the standard and super? my son doesn't need them because his feet are big, it's because he is racing his board and his front foot is catching. thanks.

Palmer Power Link Shock

I bought these with a new board and took them to Jackson Hole. They are great. They make the board so much more responsive and easy to handle. I didn't notice the difference until I let my girlfriend borrow them and I was riding without them. It was like night and day. I have size 13 and they reduce toe drag and fatigue. I would recommend they to anyone who rides a bigger board (160+) or has toe drag problems.

Great for boot size 11+

I have boot size 11, and I use these with a normal width board (K2 Zeppelin). I never worry about toe drag and my setup feels super responsive. I think these are a great value vs. the PLS Shock.

Good for larger feet

I got a new board along with these risers so I cannot adequately say how much is due to the ride vs the risers but I am definitely carving better. That said, one thing is for sure, I can crank over the edge of my board farther than I ever had before which allows deeper carves. I think it takes a bit more work to move the board edge to edge as you really have to move your legs to get the leverage going but the clearance (I have the shocks at 10mm) is really wonderful for my 11.5 feet.

GREAT BUY!

I bought these for my board because my feet were a bit big and after I put them on I was carving with absolutely no toe/heel drag. Best buy and really helped out. I bought the flex and I even feel a little cushion when going off kickers and rails. Works well.

Never Ride Without These Again

By: coake (1)

I was a little reluctant to buy these at first, I thought being higher off the board would make me lose some control, but I was way wrong. If anything, these make your turns quicker and sharper than ever before. These eliminated any toe drag I had with my big feet too. I've never been able to turn so hard with so much control, you can really feel the difference. I've been riding for about 9 years with a size 12.5 boot and I'm pissed I just picked these up this season. I'll never ride without these again. I have the Standard set, and they work great.

Remember baseless bindings?

By: Snowboarder not Showboarder (2)

I've been riding 18 years, everything from hard boots, high backs, low backs, no backs, and baseless bindings. Nothing has made such a difference as the PLS Shock system that i bought. I originally put them on a Nitro Supernatural, and now on a Never Summer Titan. They let you keep the good feeling of soft boots, and get the control of a hard boot. I don't know how they work for big footers, but i'd imagine they work well. Cheapest way you can improve your riding. Plus chicks dig em'!

Buy Them Today

By: Longrider (1)
January 27, 2007

I've been snowboarding for 13 years and vary between around 35 and 80 days a year. I bought a set of these shocks for myself and my riding buddy with great reservations about their potential to live up to Palmer's claims. I have never had one piece of equipment make such a huge difference in my riding. The Palmer propaganda is true: heel side turns are now like toe side turns and toe side turns are damn near chest-dragging fun. They soak up chatter, and you feel like your edges are locked into the snow even at high speed turning through piles of crud and ruts. They give you more snap, more control and make riding more fun. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking up a pair. If you don't, sell plasma until you can.

very nice addition

The power link system is a must for the surfers converting to the frozen water form. The initiation of turns is effortless. If you have larger feet, it goes with out saying toe-drag sucks. If you have the extra cash, buy it.

Great for big feet!

By: CarbonSipher (3)
March 17, 2006

If you've got big feet you know how hard it is to find a board wide enough in order to prevent toe-drag! Then, once you got the super-wide board you realize that it's a real pain in the butt to make edge-to-edge transitions. Well, I got the PLS supers and found that not only can I slightly reduce the width of the boards I ride (now I'm in the 25cm range instead of 26cm+), but they also allow more leverage for edge transitions since your feet are further from the ground (or fulcrum point for that matter). They take a little getting used to though (because it's harder to really "feel" the board), so take it easy after you first dial these puppies in.

A good buy

I didn’t buy these risers so much for the needed clearance for my big feet, as for the curiosity of how they would actually perform. As they say, these risers do help edge to edge transition quite significantly. And they soften the shock from a hard landing a little bit. Although I don’t know if they are something that you necessarily need to spend the money on if you don’t have overly large feet.

My second set.

By: eseltzer (3)

These are my second set of power links. I bought the first editions a few years ago and they gave me more board control and kept my big feet out of the snow (no toe drag). They absorb a lot of impact from landings and still eliminate the toe drag. Heal to toe transition is effortless, also.
