Outdoor Research Enigma Pant - Women's
The Outdoor Research Women's Enigma Pants may weigh a mere 18 ounces, but they stand up to alpine and backcountry abuse like it's easy as pie. And not even a regular pie- a nice, juicy, homemade rhubarb one. Anyway, the fully seam-taped Gore-Tex Paclite fabric helps keep weight to a minimum while Gore-Tex Pro reinforcements add plenty of durability in high-wear areas. Use the integrated gaiters to keep snow out of your boots on a ski tour, or zip them off streamline your fast and light alpine climbs. In addition to waterproof breathable performance and amazing versatility, the Outdoor Research Enigma Pants also include full-length side zippers for easy layering and a veritable mountain (forgive the pun) of ventilation options.
Bottom Line: Whether you prefer to climb up mountains or ride down them, trust in the Outdoor Research Enigma Pants for the lightweight protection you need.
Talk shop with all the gear freaks out there: ask 'em questions, upload/browse photos, and give your 2¢.

I am enjoying the simplicity of these pants. My only note is that there are no pockets at the waist or rear. There is a single "stash" pocket at the foot, presumably reachable by someone sitting on a chairlift.
Otherwise they have every feature you'd expect of a high-quality gore-text backcountry pant. The stronger gore-text in the seat and knees is perfect while the lighter pac-lite gore-text suits well for the rest of the pant.
I layer with one or two underlayers and can always open side zips for venting.
Happy purchase!
