Outdoor Research Echo Jacket - Women's

This jacket is great. It is even nicer than it looks in the picture! The blue is a beautiful color and it is super comfy. I love the thumbloops and the hood. I don't agree at all with the fit--it is flattering and super cute. It sheds rain quite well and keeps me toasty warm.

I described the jacket I wanted. Windproof and warm - temperature of around 40 degrees. I was still cold in this jacket also the sleeves were long. Also the hood was always exposed (did not fold away into the collar.

I returned this jacket the day after it arrived. I didn't try it on in the store before I bought on line. It looks so good in the picture but the cut was awful. I'm 5'8" and 140 lbs. The sizing chart looked just right for a medium but when I put it on it was too tight in the chest and loose in the stomach making me look like a high tech sack of potatoes. The sleeves were too short and the hood was tiny. I don't think I'm an odd size but this jacket didn't fit me in a nice way at all. I don't know how it performed outside because I didn't want anyone to see me in it. Vain? Yes, but for $100 I want a jacket that works and looks good.

This is a great jacket. Very flattering. The cut couldn't be any better. I have been wearing it alone as an outer jacket during the day and at night I throw another fleece over it that's not windproof for some extra insulation. Seems too cool looking to actually use in the wilderness but I will give it a try sometime. :) Don't expect to wear the hood around the city - works but looks a little silly because it wraps around your face like you're a diver. But that keeps you warm for when you need it. Love the brown color and the thumb holes.

this jacket is comfortable and very warm. i find myself a little overheated when i wear a hardshell over it. the cut is also very flattering. the thumbholes are great too for not getting your shirt sleeves stuck half way down the sleeves of an outer coat. the zippered pockets are very convenient as well.
