I bought the glasses to run in, and I love them because they stay on well, but are still big and stylish!

Question- I always have a hard time getting sunglasses that dont hurt around my ears---I always get a headache. who knows. Is there a size on these, or do you have any idea of the fit across the face?

I love, love, LOVE these glasses. I have had a similar issue with Oakley's (the Riddle's are too tight near my ears) but these are a nice, comfortable fit. Like other people have said, they are an oversized frame. They are not what I would call a "standard" sunglass style - but that's what I love about them. You should definitely get them!!! Also - if you go to the outlet, you can get the transitions version of this style for 30% off (normally 195) and it comes out to only a few dollars more.

Don't fit like my other Oakleys...

I've always worn Oakley's and love them, however when I purchased the Grapevines I was hoping to get a versatile pair of sunglasses that I could wear on any occasion. Instead, even though these sunglasses aren't actually that big, the frames sat on my cheeks a bit, so whenever I smiled, the sunglasses lifted up. I have a pair of Oakley Speechless sunglasses that, although a similar size, fit my face a lot better. Good sunglasses, just an awkward fit.

Too Big!

I usually love Oakley, but the frames on these were way too big for my face, and I do not have a small face. I wish this site had simulated face models, so you could see what these really look like when you put them on, kind of like eBags does with their purses.

Nice, but not for me...

Like all Oakley products I've encountered, these sunglasses were really nice and well-made...the case that was included was really nice too. But I ended up returning these glasses because they were just way too big for my face. It would be helpful if Oakley dealers would show the sunglasses on someone with an average-size face so you could judge for yourself how they'll look on you. If you have a smaller face like me, I've had really good luck with the Fives 3.0...the Fives 2.0 are nice too...it just depends on the shape you're looking for. The Fives 3.0 are perfect for me since they're more rectangular in shape.

Oakley Grapevine & backcountry.com

By: spender (1)

After returning to contacts after probably 15 years of wearing OK glasses, my wife was prescribed rather specific sunglasses. When nothing suitable could be found locally (in a city of more than 200,000) or through lots of optical catalogs, I did some massive Web searches. After lots of winnowing, I found the Oakley Grapevines at Backcountry.com. Wow, what a find. Not only are the sunglasses exactly what she needed optically (she absolutely loved the design of the glasses and the way they looked on her too), the shopping at Backcountry.com was wonderful. The glasses arrived as promised, which was a fast turnaround because of an emergency trip. So, thanks to Oakley for its superb product and to Backcountry.com for its approach to customer service.
