Nixon 51-30 PU Watch - Men's
Nixon designed the 51-30 PU Watch for real watermen—those individuals whose life follows the rhythm of tides more than the ticking of a clock. Set this premium timepiece's tide subdial and you'll always know when to hit your favorite point break. The 51-30's case's 300m depth rating makes this watch appropriate for any water adventure, from surfing to spear fishing. An injected polyurethane band with patented locking looper stays comfortable and securely attached.
Bottom Line: Get barreled wearing the Nixon 51-30.

TANK WATCH!!

This sucker IS MASSIVE... and boy it is it a beaute... it is now easily my favorite watch and I have a crap load... the look is rugged and very easy to read. The numbers and arms do not glow which is a bit of a downer but honestly the look of this watch does not really need those added features (they should have colored the arms on the minute and hour white versus black/grey.)
Some description...
The watch sits about 1/2 inch off your wrist. It's a dominating piece worth envy of all on lookers and ooglers. The adjuster layout is fantastic and necessary - with the adjusters on the inside versus the outside you save the back of your hand a LOT of pain. I have the black with metal band... it's heavy... lots and lots of heft... no cheap watch feel here at all.
Hopefully you won't get this watch so I can stand out more hehe... seriously - a very nice time piece indeed!
Is this watch automatic or does it take a battery?

Just got my new Nixon surf watch and I love it! Man this thing is BIG... it did take about week to get use to the size, but I really love it. Went ski boarding last week in Mammoth Mountain CA and it did great in the cold weather too! I've had more comments on this watch then any other!!
None of them, some of the sale links are still up even if the items aren't on sale anymore.

Want to get noticed? Throw a 51-30 on and hit the town. I swear, people FREAK when they see this watch. But don't mistake this for some oversized gimmick. It's a 300 meter watch (the 30 in 51-30), and has a SWISS MOVEMENT. It just won the SIMA "Accessory Product of the Year", no small feat either. The PU band is MUCH LIGHTER than the steel band, so if you're worried about weight, go with the PU.

51 mm. (51-30 represents the mm of the face, and the depth in fathoms that it can go, 300 meters.)..The correct answer is 51mm is the case size not the dial (face is wrong too)

I bought this based on Nixon's reputation for making superior watches. I have to say that it's quality and fitment are just perfect. This watch is very large in comparison to others, but it's not uncomfortable or gaudy. I went with the PU band because the metal was really heavy with the large diameter. Plus, i felt this was more of a casual watch so no metal band really was necessary. Give the plastic band a day or two to wear in and its super comfortable. In addition to a well placed clasp there is a band lock that works extremely well. Its pretty tough to get the band in and out of it at first, but you'll get used to it as it wears down. All in all. Excellent. I'll be buying another nixon for sure.
