Nixon Scout Watch - Men's

I bought the Nixon Scout as an everyday beater watch and it has come through with flying colors. I love it so much that I recently bought a Nixon Scout Leather for a less casual look. It's simple, rugged, good looking and extremely accurate. Incidentally, if you're a fan of Battlestar Galactica you'll find that Lee Adama (played by Jamie Bamber) wears a Nixon Scout in black on the show.

i got this watch primarily for taking in the water and knowing when to get out. i never really had any problems w/ it but the strap started to deplete after about a year. also, now the battery is dead and you have to take it in somewhere to have it professional replaced -- kind of inconvenient...

Been anxiously waiting by the mailbox for this puppy to arrive and today it did. I couldn't be happier. This is one seriously cool looking watch. I got the All Black/White version. When you put this on your wrist, it looks like it would be perfectly at home on someone decked out in special ops gear, yeah it looks THAT sweet. Your friends WILL be jealous.

I was a little worried before I got it that the band might be too wide, and look strange on my wrist as I am an average 5'8 guy and don't have massive wrists but as it turns out I had nothing to worry about, it fits perfectly and the width of the band doesn't look awkward in any way. It has 13 different size adjustments so you can find a nice snug fit, unlike a lot of watches that may only have a handful of settings. As a bonus I'm also noticing that because of the wide band, it doesn't slip up and down on my wrist like my other watches have a tendency to do (very annoying) which is a huge plus to me.

Obviously this watch doesn't have many features, which is fine by me since I already have plenty of "gadget" watches. I wanted something that was sleek, functional and minimalistic and this fits the bill perfectly.

All in all, this is a seriously cool looking watch. The pictures above don't even do it justice as nice as they are. Once you see this watch in person and put it on your wrist, it ain't comin' off again, period.

I've had the Nixon Scout watch for 3 years now and I can say this is one tough watch. I have the black band with stainless bezel and black face/white #'s.I wear it everyday work play the raised bezel keeps the crystal from getting scratched. Battery lasted over 2 years and was easily replaced. Not waterproof but I have been swimming surfing in the natural hot springs and no problems for me. Best watch with out all the fuss. Simple clean and looks good with everything.

I like bigish watches that tell the time and don't break. That's what the scout does really well. It doesn't have a bunch of BS features and it's not going to die on day two if you give it a few knocks. Plus, it looks mighty fine.

I like the design. Simple. Clean.
If you have extra large wrists, I don't know if it'll fit you. I have "normal" wrists, and there isn't much room to move up.

This watch is great for every day use; it's simple and incredibly tough, not to mention pretty sweet looking. Mine has survived a collision with a car with no damage other than some scratches and embedded paint, which just adds character.

A great watch, with simple yet stylish looks, and a virtually indestructable design, all tied together with its unique look to give you a watch like no other.

The Nixon Scout is a great watch. It's super durable, looks great and is the best value. You can't go wrong when you only spend 65 dollars and get a watch this tough and good looking. Highly recommended.

This is a great looking watch. It's my second nixon watch and they are all great! Great great great!

Gave it as a gift to a friend attending nursing school who needed a watch with a large face, waterproof band and a sweep second hand. It was a bonus that it's so cool looking. She loves it and is the envy of her classmates.

Was even better than pictured. I really appreciate the no shipping or tax. Made me feel like it was a benefit shopping online for once...

Baghdad, Iraq has busted through 6 watches so far... everything from Timex to Citizen... so far the Nixon is holding strong. Plus the khaki band matches my desert camo. Great watch.

I've worn this watch everywhere. Kayaking, working,snorkling and you can't break it.This is my second one as my first was stolen out of my Jeep. If you need a watch that can take a class 4 thrashing this is it!

The Nixon Scout watch is a fine watch. Rugged enough to take much of the abuse my work causes. I've beaten it up pretty good but it still looks new. The display is large and clear and easy to see in the dark as well. The band could be slightly longer I have thick wrists and the band hardly reaches the loop.

This has got to be the best watch I have ever owned. The nylon webbing band is extremely comfortable. I put this watch on for the first time a week ago, and haven't wanted to take it off since. It is a very simple watch, lacking all of the extra gizmo's on the face that, in my opinion, just clutter up the look. The service from this site was also great with this. Had to chat with a gear specialist online to find the right product, and they directed me to just the right watch.

This watch is reliable and sturdy. It looks good for everyday wear, and stood up to the jungles of eastern Uganda.

I like the fact that it's actually durable, awesome craftsmanship, nice fit, withstands my daily bumping, rubbing, etc. And the most important thing is that everyone i know or meet are attracted to my watch, to me that is awesome.

This is my first Nixon product and I couldn't be happier with my watch. I hate wearing watches or anything on my wrist because it feels uncomfortable (sweaty, nastiness that comes with wearing a watch, Band pulls arm hair, etc.). It is verry comfortable and I hardly know it's on my wrist. Plus it is so durable that I have banged it around pretty good and it still works (I play hard and my equipment suffers). It is a great, quality made watch and I am definitely thinking about buying another one in different color...yeah, like right now.

Good watch. The boyfriend loved it. The package it came in was rad, I didn't even need to get a box to wrap it in. I like it for the fact that he will be on time(usually) and he can use the watch while spear-fishing.

This watch is tight, son! Nixon comes correct - durable & good-looking, just like me.

When I actually got it, the metal clasp had come apart from the band, and after several attempts to re fit it, it kept coming undone. Also, it was not the most comfortable band I have worn. I ended up sending it back and getting a different style. The good folks at back country did not hesitate to refund the order. The comfort issue is merely preference, and like I said, it is a good looking watch!

I absolutely love this watch, primarily because of its band width, the band material itself, and the watch's durability. Use it every day at work! Purchased the same watch (men's size) to wear on the outside of heavy sleeves.

Possibly Best Watch Ever! This has replaced my G-Shock! This watch keeps time well...the battery has lasted 2 years so far. The strap is perfect. The breathable nylon band is nice and wide to support the very durable stainless box case without wiggling around when I mountain bike. The double buckle hasn't bucked. Pins never have pulled out. And it's sharp looking so I use this watch every day.

This watch is a go anywhere, do anything indestructable monster! I've got huge wrists and it fits just fine, I've got a hole set or two to spare even.

I like the design, it looks great, and its comfortable. The only problem I had is I would have to update the time about a minute a week.
