Nikwax Tech Wash / Polar Proof Twin Pack
The Nikwac Tech Wash / Polar Proof Twin Pack helps you clean and add water repellency to your fleece, wool, or synthetic clothing whether it’s after a long trip or before the coming winter. Nikwax’s Tech Wash is a non-detergent soap that cleans your technical fabrics without damaging them like traditional laundry soaps can. Once your stuff is clean, Nikwax’s Polar Proof adds a long-lasting, water-repellent coating to your gear that’ll have water beading off like oil on a hot pan.
Bottom Line: Clean and weatherize your synthetic clothing with this twin pack.

Write your question here...I have a Eureka Timberline tent from 1977-it is in great shape but smells like vomit from the breakdown of the waterproofing. Can I wash this tent in the wash and use the polar proof?

Both of these items were intended for outerwear, fleece and layering pieces. However, I don't see why you couldn't use the Tech Wash on any nylon tent. I don't know how far the Polar Proof will get you though as it is a specific formula for fleece layers you wear. My advice would be to purchase the Tech Wash separately and also purchase the Nikwax UV proof spray on bottle for after you have washed your tent.

Nan,
Kirk The Nikwax rep here. I would agree with washing the tnt in Tech Wash. Then you may treat with te UV proof and you will be good to go.

you could, but I would suggest the Nikwax tech wash. The wash and the waterproofing are made to go together and are both guaranteed to not harm your garments.
