Mad Rock Flash Lace Climbing Shoe - Men's

The Mad Rock Men's Flash Lace Climbing Shoe dishes out serious performance on sport routes and still provides a comfortable fit that takes on a multi-pitch trad climb without worry. Thanks to Mad Rock's FX5 rubber, this shoe sticks to anything you deem to be a foot hold. An unlined leather upper molds the Flash Lace Climbing Shoe to your foot for excellent sensitivity, and it creates a low profile that fits in tight cracks.

Bottom Line: Climb it all.

sticky and cheap

These shoes are sooo sticky. I am impressed by the super grippy heel as well, my confidence in placing my heel onto a hold has gone up dramatically since i got this shoe. They will stretch a little, but buy your size. I wear a 13 reebok street shoe, and a 13 madrock flash fits snug (a little too snug on my larger foot). The front of the shoe has some substance to it, maybe you can call it stiff, but for me it just feels like extra support, not a limitation at all. I would recommend these for a beginner or someone looking to save money and still get some quality gear.

Cool flash......

I loved the look of these for my first pair of climbing shoes, but, small, I couldn't get them to fit quite right. The quality wasn't quite as high on these as I wanted but the price was right for a first pair. Ended up going with another pair of Mad Rock that are fitted for a female.

Great for the price

First of all the science friction kicks ass. I bought these shoes not too long ago and they broke in relatively fast, with just gym climbing. I also love the design, MR tends to have a flare for personal design, my only beef with the shoe is that it runs a bit narrow and is a bit stiff in the forefoot.

Skulls Kick Ass!!

If you want to add a little steez to your technique get this shoe. Seriously, this shoe is pretty good for the price. I think Mad Rock tends to fit a little narrow. I have also had the Flash Velcro, and I like this shoe better because you can dial in the sizing a bit more with the laces. Pretty good all around shoe for the money. I wear a 9.5 street shoe and I usually get a size 9 MR----they are a tight fit for me. I would recommend ordering your street shoe size if you don't have a chance to try before you buy.
