Mountainsmith Cross Country 3.0 Backpack - 4302 cu in

Whether you're a weekend backpacker or a hardcore adventurer, the Mountainsmith Cross Country 3.0 Packgives you everything you need from a high performance pack. The Cross Country distributes weight evenly with four load adjusters so you can hit the trail with comfort and confidence. When you finally take a breather, access your gear easily through the backpack's top or front compartments—the internal organizer pockets ensure you'll know exactly where everything is. The pivoting waist-belt reduces pressure points so you can go on to the next camp site with ease. Then unhook an ice ax, detach the hydration-compatible daypack, and get on top of a mountain. Bonus: The Cross Country 3.0's recycled fabrics reduce environmental impact.

Bottom Line: The Mountainsmith Cross Country 3.0 is for backpackers who strive to get the most out of their weekend adventures.

Great features/size for the price.

just as comfortable as more expensive packs found at REI. main compartment is large with a flap/divider at the bottom for a sleeping bag. the main compartment is accessible from the top or front by way of a LARGE c shaped flap. my only criticism here is that you have to unclip the daypack to use the front access. the daypack fit is well designed and big enough to tote valuables and a change of clothes. reservoir access in both main and day pack. overall well designed, very nice

A little heavy

I have a slightly older version of this pack and don't get me wrong, it rocks. It is huge, great space. I love how the hip belt is super plush padded, and it fits me really well. But the pack itself is HEAVY compared to others in its class.

Price+Features+Comfort=Awsome

I am completely Happy with this pack. Dont let the price fool you, this pack is sweet. Plenty of cushioning where it matters, pockets, a zip off day pack, sleeping bag compartment, hydration sleeve and room for a ton of stuff. While this bag may not have the frills and techno-wizard advanced features of the higher end bags, it definatly blows away the other bags in its price range.
