Montrail Continental Divide GTX Hiking Shoe - Women's
The ground might be wet and muddy or it might rain on your trail run, adventure race, or fast-paced hike. The Montrail Women’s Continental Divide GTX Hiking Shoes don’t mind. Waterproof breathable Gore-Tex bootie uppers in these shoes block moisture while allowing excess heat to escape. TPU protection plates make supportive platforms when you encounter sharp rocks, and gusseted tongues prevent dirt and small rocks from sneaking into your shoes. Montrail bottomed these shoes off with tractiony Gryptonite rubber outsoles.
Bottom Line: Dry, happy trails to you.

Hello, looking for a hiking shoe. Just a bit confused on which one is best suited for me/conditions. Currently I live between Switzerland and Florida...while in Switzerland we hike. High elevation hikes, crossing waterfalls, rough terrrain. Have a pair of high top Lowa's, low cut Merrills and mid Salomons. In July we are off to the Canadian Rockies for a hiking trip and want something multi purpose (better for packing) that is waterproof too. Any suggestions????

Loretta. I would consider the Montrail Women's Hardrock Mid GTX Shoe. It is a combo running/hiking shoe with the GoreTex laminate for weather and water protection. The mid-height shoe will also provide you with a bit more support if you are carrying a pack. Hope this info helps!

Short and Wide but Cute

I am returning these pretty cool looking shoes because they are too darned SHORT. Order at least 1/2 size bigger than your other shoes. The length is equivalent to half size smaller in North Face, Vasque, New Balance, etc. To make up for the shortness, they have made them very wide, so if you have a short, wide foot, these are perfect for you. They are very cute, so if they are the right fit for you, go for it.
