Montrail Streak Trail Running Shoe - Women's

Shock absorption in trail shoes is important. So is underfoot protection, traction on wet and dry surfaces, and lightweight, breathable uppers. The Montrail Women's Streak Trail Running Shoes have these features in spades. The lightweight upper materials allow for feet breathability on hot summer runs, while a responsive midsole absorbs impact as you breeze down the trail. Montrail's Trail Shield co-molds a flexible, protective material between the outsoles and mid-soles so rocks won't stab your feet, and the Streak Shoes' Gryptonite (yes, we said Gryptonite) rubber outsoles help keep you upright on wet days.

Bottom Line: Streak with lightweight shock-absorbers on your feet.

I ran a hard 50 mile trail race in these shoes and they were awesome!Great support, stable, great traction, sticky/grippy, good protection underfoot, lightweight, kept my feet pretty cool.My only gripe is the tongue, it's really thick/bulky and I'm not sure why it needs to be. I like more of a sleeve-type, but oh well.Everything else is right on. I've worn many different shoes and I've found with the Montrails, they all fit a bit different. Some are narrower, like the new Hurricane Ridge XCR---I wore the older ones for years and loved them but can't fit into the new one. They are shorter, VERY narrow, but my foot is petite/narrow. The old ones had a much wider platform and toebox. The Streak is great for a narrow foot but still has a roomy toebox. I also like that they are pretty low-profile. I tried the Hardrock and it was just way too much shoe for me. As for Salomons, I've worn the older models and the Streak has a similar fit, narrow but with a roomy toebox. Good luck

I love these shoes

I wore the Montrail Massai shoes for as long as I could, and bought up every pair I could find to continue wearing them as long as possible. I ran out of shoes last year and found these touted to be a replacement. They are great. I think like them better than the massais, if that is possible. They fit well, right out of the box, are comfortable, and perform well on uneven ground. Great warm weather shoes. I guess my only complaint would be the color, which was (last year) a horrible yellow color. Newer colors seem to be much less obnoxious.

Not a winter shoe however. I wear Hurrican ridge shoes in the winter when snow is on the ground. Montrail makes great shoes, period.

i ran all summer in this shoe. i ran both the big horn 50 mile ultra and the devil's backbone 50 miler in the streak. great shoe. i find it to feel a bit more soft than my montrail continental divides. it's extremely flexible and because it's light and fast it is not as protective as some other shoes. if you haven't run in these don't just take them out of the box and run a 50km. wear them in your training and let your foot get used to them first - then race in them!

These shoes are great! These breathe really well, the arch support is great, and if you have wider feet these will fit really well. No complaints at all, in fact I am going to order another pair.

Lightweight, strong trail running shoe

Lightweight trail runner (especially for Montrail). Still sturdy and supportive. Breathes well. Not for winter trail running, but great for spring and summer (haven't tried fall yet). True to size.
