Montrail Enduro Insoles - Men's
Montrail Enduro Insoles are a must for everything from trail running to mountaineering. Once you experience the Enduro Insoles' incredible support and comfort, you're sure to want them in your daily knock-arounds as well. These wonders of modern technology increase comfort, eliminate toe bang, and maintain a neutral alignment of your feet, ankles and lower legs. Bake them in them in the oven at 225F for 2 minutes, insert them immediately into your shoes, and then insert your feet. Stand still for two minutes and the PRFRM foam conforms to perfectly match the anatomical shape of your foot, preventing elongation--the most common cause of toe bang. The insole also helps cushion and return energy to the foot, reducing strain on soft tissue during push off.
Bottom Line: You'll want them for all of your shoes.

I found the two pairs of Montrail Enduro insoles that I heated in the oven and fitted to my feet to be too bulky. I think it may be that they provided more arch support than I want or need - if you are looking for good arch support for your high-arched feet, these soles might do the trick. I wear them in my Montrail Namche boots - the fit is perfect within the brand - and enjoy the extra comfort but dislike the extra height in the arch and heel areas. I put the other pair in an old pair of trail running shoes to add new life to them but found the same problem - they were too much for me. I will not buy these again - I like the feel of the Superfeet line of insoles better.

I am an avid trail runner and spend long hours running steep, rocky trails. I have never found an insole that works as well as the Enduro. Contrary to some other reviews, I do not find these insoles to be too thick. Since I'm looking for maximum cushioning and protection, I find them to be perfect. They are easy to mold and do not curl as much as some others I've tried. With these insoles, I can skip breaking in a new pair of shoes as they fit perfectly right away. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I had an increased pronation problem when I used these insoles. I tend to do that anyway, but not to the degree I did with these insoles. These would work better for someone with a supination problem. These did keep me from sliding forward when walking downhill. Instead I rolled to the inside.

I bought these as replacement for the standard footbed that comes with ski boots (ski coach recommends this practice). Customization was easy - scissors to trim to size (helps if you take the boot liner out), then heat in the oven for 2 mins, insert and wear the liners for 15 mins or so. Right away you can feel the increase heel support and underfoot support as the insole forms to your feet. I'm still waiting for snow to try these out, but they do give you a more custom fit. Since these are heat fit, they will work great for new boots with heat customization boot liners - do both at the same time. Also consider Shock Doctor insoles - they also have good heel and overall support - stiffer base.

I found the instructions a bit lacking, As you can see they only come in whole sizes, and to fit in a half size boot you will need the next size up, since they shrink a little length wise in the . When you go to form them, unless you are using them in ski boots that have already packed out to mold them with the socks you are going to wear with the boot, they tend to get pretty thick once they shrink length wise, and now my foot is jammed against the laces, other than that comfortable (with the right sock) insole

Yes these are thick. Will work best for small volume feet.
I am an 8.5 and bought the 8, and they fit my boots perfectly. I also took a knife to the insoles around the toes to relieve a bit of the thickness to get a comfortable fit.
Overall, I did get more support and more cushion in my new hiking boots then I did without the Enduros.

Montrail brings the holy grail to your shoes! I have added these to my backpacking boots and they are a perfect fit. Few minutes in the oven, slap them in your boots and presto! You have a perfect fit!

I've been running in Montrail Hurricane Ridge XCR shoes since 2002. This year, I purchased the Enduro Insoles. It has been a great addition to the Hurricane Ridges and I doubt I'd ever go back. One question....why doesn't Montrail automatically put these in their new shoes? They're awesome.

i bought these after reading the reviews. price seemed reasonable and it is. i am very pleased. i put them in a pair of Garmont hikers and walked in them for 2 days without suffering from the normal pains. if u have a pair of good shoes but still have some problems u can't go wrong for the price.

I have used doctor-prescribed orthotics for the past couple of years. When I tried these I threw away the doctor's orthotics. I've done some 12 to 15 mile hikes in perfect comfort. I recommend this product.

Because of its thickness the Enduro Sole is best suited for double boots or boots in which full foot shims have been added to take up volume. The nylon backed arch is high but after heating it will adjust to a more moderate or medium arch. You may need to try more than one size of insole to find the length that perfectly positions its arch with respect to your foot. The increased thickness of the heat moldable foam layer enables a deep forefoot impression, resulting in exceptional stability, control and comfort. As long as care is taken to properly fit and heat mold the insoles, they may well be the best product on the market and are every bit as good as my $200 custom insoles.

Save some money and don't buy these unless you have a shoe that is way too large and wide. The Enduro may be a fine product but it proved worthless for my trail runners. The foot bed is too thick even after heating it to conform it to my foot. The insoles ruined the fit of my shoe, making them way too tight. A ski boot fitter offered to grind them down, perhaps making them workable. Perhaps I'll try that because they're useless now. For runners with flat feet, I suggest you skip the Montrail Enduro and instead buy a pair of Shock Doctor Ultra 2 insoles, which are terrific and don't affect the fit of your shoes. For shoes or boots which are too large, the Enduro may work fine. The plastic arch support was good, but the overall insole was simply too thick.

Soft and super comfortable. I bought these to replace insoles in some Tecnica trail runners. Heat them up per directions and they mold perfectly to your feet. Golfers: buy these for any shoe you play golf in! You will be amazed! I want to wear these insoles everywhere, for any outdoor activity. Highly recommended!
