Mion Tide Scramble Amphibian Shoe - Men's - 2006

The Men's Mion Tide Scramble Amphibian Shoe is at home on land or in the water. These versatile water shoes give you incredible protection, comfort, and durability when you're hiking burly trails or screaming through class III rapids. Pronounced My-Own, these Mion booty-style river shoes feature an anatomically-shaped Ergomorphic Footbed, which molds to your foot after about 12 hours of use to give you a personalized, custom-fit. Slip your feet into the Waterproof Super Structure, pull on the Super Structure cord and enjoy the Tide Scramble Shoe's secure fit. This climbing-grade cord tightens around your foot in critical areas to give you incredible stability with no pressure points. On land or in the water, the neoprene/fabric upper protects, sheds water quickly, and is highly breathable to keep your feet comfortable in all conditions. Whether dropping your kayak in the river or hiking along dried-up riverbeds, the Gripstick rubber outsole has four-way siping to give you bomber traction over wet and dry terrain.

Bottom Line: The Mion Tide Scramble Amphibian Shoes are at home anywhere—soaking, damp, or dry.

No socks needed...

Call me a freak, but I absolutely hate wearing socks. I wear my Chacos for most of the year. It gets a little chilly walking around Park City in the winter with Chacos though. I've been searching for a no-sock alternative to Chacos, and finally found one in the Mion Tide Scrambles. These things are totally comfy with the neoprene booties. They actually regulate temperature pretty well. They might be a little bulky for some people, but I don't mind because they're still very lightweight. Recommended.
