Mountain Hardwear Talus Pack Short - Men's

Pull on the lightweight Mountain Hardwear Men's Talus Pack Shorts and ascend into hiking shorts heaven. These shorts feel smooth and dry quickly, so you can climb into the clouds in complete comfort. The Talus Pack Shorts' welded construction keeps seams flat so there's no chaffing, and the stretchy fabric moves with you as you clamber across scree fields. Mountain Hardwear's low profile belt loops won't get in the way of a harness, and mesh panels in the Talus Pack Shorts' pockets drain water if you're crossing high mountain streams.

Bottom Line: Mountain Hardwear's Talus Pack Shorts—just 'cause they're tougher than nails doesn't mean they have to feel like it.

Almost as fabulous as the Talus Pants

By:

I have a pair of the full-leg pant version of these and absolutely love them. They are my default pants, and I wear them constantly. The combination of very robust, stretchy fabric and welded construction make these the most comfortable pants I've owned. They practically disappear when you wear them... it's like you have pockets and wind protection grafted directly onto your legs! As far as the shorts are concerned, while they share all of the basic traits of the pants, I think MH missed an opportunity to make these even better. They basically just lopped off the bottom of the pants. As the fabric is so stretchy and non-binding, I think they should have tapered the bottoms a bit to make for a less baggy fit. I would also have preferred them to be an inch or two shorter to keep them from flopping around my knees. Bear in mind that I have short legs, so your milage may vary. I realize that these changes would have required some re-engineering of the Talus pants (beyond lopping off the legs), but the improvement would have been well worth it IMHO.

Is there a Liner to these shorts?

Flag

No there is not a liner. They are a stretchy soft shell short that can be used in many different situations. Hope this helps!

Buy these shorts!

These shorts are great! They really bead up water and are super comfortable. The price tag is a bit steep, but if any of my previous mountain hardwear purchases are an indication, they'll be worth the price in durability.
