This is a very warm and nicely made vest. The fit on a medium was huge. The small fits well. I normally wear a medium. Windstopper is worth it.

Does anyone know if this vest is fleece or softshell?

Take the advice given. Order as size smaller than usual.

The only problem was for a size small it was way too big. Bummer.
