Mountain Hardwear Extend Featherweight Zip Tee Long-Sleeve - Men's

This year when you're looking down a line stacked with cliff bands, at least you'll know you're not shaking from being cold. The Mountain Hardwear Men's eXtend Featherweight Zip Tee is a lightweight and comfortable base layer made to keep you dry. Made from an anti-microbial fabric, the eXtend Featherweight Zip Tee wicks sweat away from your skin and dries quickly—plus it won't stink if you can't find a washing machine on your ski trip. Mountain Hardwear designed the base layer without putting seams in high-abrasion areas, so you won't get those itchy spots you can't reach on your back or pressure points from wearing a backpack.

Bottom Line: Stay dry and warm without smelling up the après riding bar like you just ran a marathon.

is supposed to be tight and light

Tight against the skin is supposed to be how they're worn, ie., "tight in the pits", etc. And of course it's not windproof - it's a base layer! Also imo, I agree they do wear a little large, but then again, I've always had the problem of being on the slimmer side with long limbs. Hope this review helps.

Extend Featherweight Zip Tee

As an archaeologist that has spent more than 27 years working and traveling in alpine, boreal, and cold desert regions, I have found these shirts to be the most valuable pieces of clothing I have. They're certainly not windproof, but as the first layer they are not surpassed by any other shirt.

Tight pits, light fabric

No wind protection, not much warmth, pits too tight, not worth the money, even if it doesn't stink up easily.

Extend Featherweight Zip Tee

This top is comfortable, fast-drying, keeps body heat in, and has an amazing warmth-to-weight ratio. Unfortunately, Mountain Hardware thinks that everyone is an athlete and even the largest size was too small for me. I wear an XL with North Face and Pearl Izumi. I was sad when I had to return it.
