Mountain Hardwear Canyon Pant - Men's

In canyons, dry paths aren't necessarily the only thing you have to travel on. The Mountain Hardwear Canyon Pant is equally happy slogging through water, sliding down sandstone and just plain walking. Mesh drain panels in the pockets make sure you aren't taking any of the water with you, while the gusseted crotch and articulated knees maximize your freedom of movement. Canyon Cloth wicks moisture away from your skin, so if you manage to stay dry for a while you won't drown in sweat.

Bottom Line: Get through the water in the Mountain Hardwear Canyon Pants.

Awesome

These pants work great for everything that I need them for. They are actually quite comfortable and freedom permitting, so they don't get in the way while moving around. I appreciate the built-in belt; minimal but helpful. It doesn't get in the way of a pack belt and things like that. These pants also have the nice feature of the bungee style drawcords at the ankles, so that you can roll uo the pant legs and keep them out of the way during rock climbing, or a river crossing. Also very breathable, and as many have said, quick drying. Awesome pants!

Very nice!!!

These pants are very nice! I love the diaginal back pockets. They hold all of my pocket gear in place. The internal belt is awesome for avoiding my pack, but it only shows in the front so I can't put my camara clip on my waist. They are very water resistant and fast drying after a wash. Comfy too.

Not the pants I was looking for - but still mostly ok

I was really looking for a line of pants made by Mtn Hardwear that is like heavy canvas. These are made like a thin parachute. BUT- they still performed pretty well and looked pretty good, and I expect I will keep them. I'm still looking for the others though...

Great pant, true to fit in length and waist, however a little bit baggy in the upper part...

Pants too long

These pants were a great fabric and design but the legs were a couple of inches too long. I think these were a 32" and my husband wears a 30". Because of the drawstring bottom they need to be the correct length for the wearer - wouldn't work very well rolling the bottoms up. So unfortunately had to return them.

I was surprised.

I have purchased several Mountain Hardwear pants recently. All of the products seem to wear well, but the Canyon Pants are far more comfortable. A surprisingly comfortably pant. I have only hiked in them twice, but they held up very well. Nice pants.

Mountain Hardwear Canyon Pant - Awesome

These pants are lightweight and extremely comfortable. They are my favorite general-purpose pants for hiking, biking, travel, and getting around town. The fit is perfect and allows for a wide range of movement. The adjustable hems come in handy also. The pockets are functional and minimal.

Great Pants

I have been hiking and rock climbing in these pants several times. They allow total freedom of movement and are very lightweight. Somehow they still manage to be warm in the cold and cool in the heat. The hidden drawcord feature at the ankle is really cool/ handy. If you are a 32h32w in waist you will want to get the M instead of the L. I got the large and they're too long/ big in the waist. The Canyon is still my favorite pant though!

Great fit, this lightweight fabric breathes in the heat, keeps the bugs off, and dries fast. Not much brush resistance, but you'd be wearing shorts if it wasn't for the bugs.

Wash & Wear

I just returned from the banks of the Amazon, where I spent a week building a church for a local village, with two pair of Canyon pants. There is 12 hours of daylight, lots of heat, humidity, dirt and insects everywhere. Then the sun goes down and the mosquitoes rule with a vengeance. Soaked thru all day with sweat then jump in the river to wash wearing everything but the boots. Two hours later you are dry and as clean as the river will allow. They keep the sun off, the chiggers from climbing up the bottoms, the piranha from biting and the mosquitoes don't get thru. Life is good.
